Jade stepped onto Route 1 and smiled. "Are you ready, Kendra?" she asked, glancing at her Rainbow Mudkip, who was now on her head. "Mudkip Mud!" -Yeah! Let's go!- she said excitedly. Jade laughed and started walking.

Jade stopped walking when she saw the Rattata. Kendra jumped off of her head and landed in front of it. "Mudkip!" -Hi!- she said, grinning.

Kendra grinned and nodded. "Mudkip!" -Sure!- she said, running to Jade. "Mudkip Mud Mud?" -Can I battle?- she asked. Jade smiled. "Yeah, let's do it. Use Tackle!" Jade said. Kendra smirked and ran at the Rattata.

Ratatta with it's juvenile speed (although fast) tried to avoid the tackle, but failed. It leered at Kendra as it launched it's little purple body at Kendra. |

Kendra was hit and knocked back. "Alright Kendra, use Tackle again!" Jade said. Kendra jumped to her feet and charged at the Rattata.

Jade smiled. "Okay, welcome to the team!" she said, pulling out a pokeball and holding it out to the Spearow. Kendra smiled. "Mud! Kip Mud Mud!" -Yay! Now I have a new friend!- she said, smiling.

Another ratatta scampered past her but it didn't stop. It ran into the long grass. Up ahead however, a zigzagoon waddled around up ahead confused. |
