"Lillian, I did nothing to try and hurt you. That day... You took everything the wrong way, and I was being tortured. Its high time you moved on with your life and look to the future. It might hurt, and I am still trying to get over everything. The pain will leave."
Ash faced Lillian, his hard, yellow eyes boring into her. It hurt him to say that, but it was true. He wanted no tears from anyone. Only the day before yesterday did he crack and let go of everything in one go. He wanted to die, but he was able to get through it. She can to. [/sub]

"Tortured?" she asked, "You tortured me." More sobs.
<Leave. Now.> The Marrill appeared to be ready to attack.

Who was the one getting tortured? I was kidnapped, and you took it the wrong way. I tried to find you, to talk to you. you avoided me. You know what? Lets just battle so i can get out of here. Dan is better suited for you.
Ash's voice was deep and somewhat dark near the end. His muscles tensed, and they hurt, but he shoved all the pain away. The mental pain, the psychical pain, everything. He wanted nothing to do with anything at this moment, and Lillian was pissing him off. Perhaps he should have been nicer to Cheryl before it was too lake. Tame him for being so stupid. [/sub]

"Fine!" she said. But the girl didn't get up. She didn't even move.

Ash sighed and walked over to Lillian, sitting next to her. Luc stood dumbly nearby, using aura to make sure that nothing would sneak up on them.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound rude. I just lost control of myself. I have been stupid lately, and unable to think clearly. [/sub]

Rather sarcastically, the marrill clapped her hands. <Oh good, creep-o knows he's stupid.> Lillian, however, reacted differently. She kicked Ash off the chair, and stood up fuming. "WHO SAID YOU COULD SIT DOWN? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW I FELT?! FOR HEAVENS SAKE! AND THEN, YOU COME IN HERE AS THOUGH I'M GOING TO FORGIVE YOU?! AND GET BACK WITH YOU?! AND ON TOP OF THAT, YOU HAVEN'T SAID SORRY EVEN ONCE? YOU KEEP TRYING TO TWIST THINGS SO THAT IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT, BUT IT IS!"
She calmed down muchly, glad to have that off her chest. "Get out of my sight. I can't even look at you."

Ash stood up slowly, but the look in his eyes, there was nothing there. His yellow eyes were glowing as he tapped into aura without meaning to.
You know what? I was sorry for everything, but now, I don't think I am. There is no way I am leaving here without that gym badge. The way I see it, we could sit here arguing, or we could battle. The sooner that is over, the sooner I will get the hell out of here.
There was a wave of release from Ash. He now fount it easier to breath and move. Finally, he knew that he was in an aura state, and left it, the glow in his eyes leaving. His eyes still were like and empty abyss. He know knew that he shouldn't have been so rude and neglect Cheryl. [/sub]

"You're a heartless jerk," Lillian mumbed, "That's all. You strip me of everything, then come back, wanting me to do you favors? You want a gym badge?"
<Creep-o.>
"THAT'S ALL YOU CARE ABOUT?" Lillian screamed, tears running down her face. "WELL FINE. TAKE YOUR ****ING GYM BADGE."
She threw the waverider badge at him, or, more accurately, at his face.
"Now LEAVE ME ALONE! YOU CAN GO TO-" but the rest of her words were muffled by sobs.

Ash reached up and grabbed the badge. The glow in his eyes went away once again. He was burning in anger now. What did he do to make her this angry.
Fine. I was expecting you to fight, but I guess I was was wrong. Oh so sorry do disturb you.
His voice was a mock of a mock. There also seemed to be an evil pitch to it. He turned on his heel and started walking away. Luc, unsure about what to do, fallowed Ash. [/sub]

"I'm gonna kill you!" the gym leader yelled after him, then, whispered, "You killed me." She rolled a pokeball around on the table with one hand as she cried, the one containing the Luvdisk named for the boy who had just left her. Again.

Ash stopped just inside the door, and turned around again. He walked all the way back to Lillian and tossed the badge on the table
I just noticed something. I don't want something I didn't earn. Lets do this fair and square. One pokemon, no items. Lets go.
Luc was more than ready, even before Ash was done talking. He was tapped into his aura, and was ready for anything at all. [/sub]

Lillian looked up when she heard the gym badge hit the table. "You would do that? Even though I was going to just give it to you? That's really sweet." Maybe he did care for her after all... "Fine." She pocketed the gym badge and got up. Well, that was a start.

<Are we just going to stand here and talk all day? Ash, say sorry so we can fight. Lillian, do the same.
Ash was almost in shock at how Luc just acted. He wanted to fight that badly? maybe he did change, just a little. A good fighter was always strong. Ash smiled slightly and faced Lillian.
"I'm sorry. I was stupid to not find you and say this earlier. Do you forgive me? [/sub]

Lillian seemed to think. "Yah...maybe...I guess...Luc seems rather anxcious to fight. We better get going then."
She walked back out into the main gym area.
"Oops...I forgot about that..." The pool was in bad shape, to say the least. There was more water outside of it than on the inside. And a large crack split the center of it, making it impossible to refill. "The gym is kind of...under construction. I guess our battle will have to wait."

"I'm gonna take a guess and say that Dan was here..... Again. If the pool doesn't have a leak, then we can fill it up for you. Or, we can head to the lake." <Yea, that sounds good.>
Luc was jumping from one leg to another, itching for a fight. The look in his eye's said the same thing. A couple of lighting quick punches sealed everything. [/sub]

Unfortunately, the concrete was cracked in multiple places.
"Yeah...no leaks here," Lillian said rather sarcastically. "All gym battles have to be in gyms. It's league rules. So, I apologize, but you're just going to have to come back here...later."

<But who needs water and pools for a good fight. C'mon, lets go all out, you scardy cat.> "Luc, lets go. We can come back a different day. We just need to wait a little longer."
If someone missed the slight hurt in Ash,s voice, the would need to be as thick as he was. Lucario noticeably drooped. Ash waited to see if Luc would move out by himself, and was surprised when he sat down cross-legged, crossed his arms, and closed his eyes.
<I am not moving until after we win that badge.> "Luc, we are leaving now." <Good luck with that.>
There was no way Luc was moving. Like most everything he had as a Riolu, he was a stubborn as hell. [/sub]

Lillian raised her eyes at the stubborn Lucario.
"Well, if he really won't go, there's a room in back that you two could stay in until the gym's fixed. Of course, it's not the greatest...the main light source burnt out three years ago, and we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. You'll have to go out and get food on your own. But, it might just work out for Luc, for now."

As fast as he could, Ash pulled out Luc's pokeball, and returned him to it. Ash had to clamp it with two hands to keep the pokemon inside.
That's ok, we can.... Just wait it out somewhere..... But thanks anyway....
Ash still struggled with the pokeball as he bowed slightly and walked out of the gym. He Smiled slightly. At least his friendship was patched up. [/sub]

"Just so you know." said Lillian, not sure how to continue for a second. "I'm dating this guy called Dan. And apart from the damages, I still feel I can trust him more than you. And I love you. I really do. But I don't want to. Not yet anyway. I won't leave him for you. You can't expect me to do that, because he deserves to be treated as loyally as he treats me. But I will always love you too... Just not as much as him at the moment..."
Lillian gave Dan a small smile, and then retired to her room.
"Well, guess I'd better go home..."
