Darkaan, Mortochi, Marco and Thundigar trodded through towards the exit of Dayea Hill's tunnel. For some bizarre reason they found they were now walking on a bitumen road. Before long sunlight came shining down on them- but not much light.
Before them, towering thousands of feet in the sky were old abandoned skyscrapers. Darkaan and his pokemon couldn't help but gasp. This city was overwhelming in size and looked like something in a fantasy world. It looked incredibly surreal in the middle of the day.
The streets were abandoned, alone but incredibly disgusting; full of garbage and mess. Powerlines were everwhere. Ever now and then sparks were released from severed power lines.
Some areas of the street were flooded by leaking pipes and burst fire hydrants. They never seemed to be turned off- just left on. Darkaan and his pokemon could see why noone would live hear as they moved from street to street- gasping at the surreal sky scrapers and the occasional shopping facility or mall.

There was a dark alleyway ahead- pitch black- skyscrapers blocking any light into the dark shady street. Street lights flickered eerily as a dark thick heavy fog seeped it's way out into the street.
... Creepy. Darkaan and his pokemon stumbled onto Shadow Street!

Darkaan returned Marco and Thundigar as he walked straight towards the Shadow Street. Why?
He didn't know why. He was just attracted to it. Mortochi tried to keep up but didn't like the looks of this street.

Darkaan emerged from Shadow Street, eager to move on. He wanted to go ghost hunting and started prowling the basements of some abandoned buildings... with all his pokemon present.
One particular large factory he approached looked particularly haunted... He could hear creaks and groans through the giant factory- pitch black in it's entirety and vastness.
He felt around the door for a light switch. <CLICK!>

A ratatta scampered through the darkness, followed by a raticate. The raticate leered at Darkaan.

Darkaan released Mortocho to take on the rodent pokemon. "Hey Mort! Use rockslide on that raticate!"

The agile Raticate rolled out of the way of the oncoming rocks before leering at Mortochi. The pokemon, then noticing an openning in the rock pile that had appeared, scampered into it. The Rattata looked back. Noticing that his friend had gone, the pokemon ran back the other way, trying to escape into the pile of rocks as well.

"Ok. Uh..." Darkaan thought. "Let's leave them. We're looking for something else." He said to Mortochi. He walked off, but Mort didn't take his eyes off the rock pile as he walked away. They could both mangle him and Darkaan if he dropped his guard.

Somewhere in the huge vast warehouse, a tinkering could be heard, followed by the sound of a heartbeat that seemed to echo throughout the entire empty facility.

Darkaan's blood ran cold. A creepy excitement came over him. Could it be?
He headed towards the tinkering chain noise. His pokemon followed.

Chains covered the ceilings. They were hovering through the air all by themselves...
Were there ghosts in the room?

"Show yourself!" Darkaan hollered. He expected gastly or haunter... "Thundigar! I choose you!" Darkaan commanded. Unfortunately, Thundigar blew Darkaan a raspberry and decided to spin on his head.
"Gah! Marco! I choose you! Ember attack those chains!" Darkaan hoped the pokemon would reveal themselves if he removed the obvious toy.

The chains melted to the floor. In fright, the pokemon buzzed across the room. It was a magnemite. Another magnemite (and more mature magnemite), headed towards Marco. It used a thundershock on the fire pokemon.
The other magnemite fot the idea as well and used sonic-boom on Thundigar!
Another two magnemite dropped into the room and decided to team up against Marco and Thundigar.

<MAG-G-G!> Marco stuttered, getting struck by the thundershock attack.
"Marco! Tail glow!" Darkaan ordered his magmar. His magmar's grew into a searing brightness, getting ready to use a flaming fire attack next.
Thundigar reacted out of rage towards the two magnemite. He used lightscreen as he pushed in next to Marco, so they were both protected.

The magnemite used lock-on on Marco. The one that battled Thundigar used screech to lower Thundigar's defense.
The other two magnemite broke up and paired up with the other two. It was a two on one battle!

Magmar, now charged with it's tail-glow, used firepunch on the two paired up magnemite!
Thundigar jsut stood there. "Thundigar! Use thunder fang! NOW!" Darkaan ordered.
Thundigar lunged at one of the magnemite and did so.

One of the magnemite leaped back as one became completely engulfed with Marco's flame. It fainted instantly. But the one that evaded the attack, sided with the other pair.
Thundigar's attack made the magnemite flinch, but it wasn't very effective. Then the magnemite started to glow.
Before anyone realised what was going on, the magnemite joined in evolution and now operated as magneton!
Magneton learnt a move as it evolved. It raised it's magnetic arms and used a magnetic attack, magnet bomb against Thundigar.

Marco charged at the magneton with a firepunch...
The light screen fades as the magnet bomb struck it. So Thundigar used light screen again.

The magnezone quickly shot a spark attack at Marco and a sonic boom attack at Thundigar. It beeped and zooped in anger at it's opponents! It sure was strong!

Darkaan's magmar used another fire punch. Thundigar used a thunderwave on the magnezone, hoping that it would paralyze the magnezone.

The Fire Punch crippled the Magnezone, but the thunderwave was ineffective. It began shooting magnet bombs wildly into the air, hoping to damage it's assailants.

Thundigar managed to dodge the aimless attack a few times before finally getting struck in his right shoulder. Marco got hit twice by the steel attack.
Marco, in a rage used another fire punch attack, included with his +6 special attack completely fired up. Thundigar used thunderfang, hoping to make the magneton flinch.

It seemed to do the trick. The Magnezone was blown right through the wall, and lay twitching on the floor. It released sparks now and then, before using it's magnet pull ability to draw more magnemite nearby. If they got too close, they could potentially form Magneton, and by extension, Magnezone. Oh dear.
The head magnezone shot a weak Magnet Bomb attack.

(Ooc: WTF? First I was battling four magnemite, which evolved into a magneton. Somehow it evolved into a magnezone. And now if I'm 'unlucky' it's going to evolve into a 'magneton'?)
Thundigar thought the battle had been one until he got struck by the weak attack. Marco was infuriated with the MAGNETON and blew a blu flame on his fists. He ran towards the magneton and threw his fists at his opponent...

(I know, it's just PBK and Gravvie kept rping it as a Magnezone, and I thought, well, there wouldn't be just three magnemite. Don't worry about it. They won't evolve. And, let's go with Magneton for now.) The Magneton fell back at the attack. Now, it finally conceded defeat, and fell to the ground, the magnemite around it. There was a flash as one trio evolved. Time to make a quick getaway?
