"Hi can I have a tropuis?' she grined widely.

Professor Plum, sitting beside Neo's bed looked up at him, squinting through her little specs. "For at least a few hours. It's late in the afternoon... 4:42pm to be exact." Plum said as she looked down at her wrist.
"Do you want something to eat and drink? You still look incredibly pale." Eden, Xanthe's tropius, heard Prof Plum talking from outside the room. She looked through the slightly a-jarred door and then headed off to tell Xanthe her guest had awoke.

<A tropius egg or an actual tropius?> Wiles inquired to Aveon. <A tropius egg is much cheaper, but if you buy an actual tropius, it's more expensive! However, at least you can choose a pokemon that has characteristics you like and has greater level.>

Neo nodded, though he had only caught half of what the other person had said. He was far to distracted by the way she spoke- so much different than the way people from his old land did. He just couldn't figure out why.
"A drink would be-" Neo stopped when he saw the Tropius stick her head in. He was relieved that the pokemon didn't intend to stay long. He also forgot to finish the rest of his sentence.

Professor Plum's eyes darted towards the door but didn't see anything. She looked back. "What was that darl? You said you wanted a drink?"
- - - - -
Wiles took the money and went off to get the egg for Aveon. <I'll be back in a sec!> He said and waddled off rather fast.
- - - - -
A hoppip flew through the air near Angel. <Check! I'll get Florrie to bring them out for you!> It said. <WEEE!> Another hoppip flew from behind the other hoppip. <Make sure you have your money ready!> Said another hoppip, flying through the front door. They flew away through the corridors of Eruca Farm.

Angel's words were in vain as the hoppip flew into the farm's corridors. A few minutes later a sunflora came out from one of the farm's many corridors. In each of it's petals it held a pokeball. It held five pokeballs out of it's eight giant petals.
<Hi! I'm Florrie! Are you the trainer that asked for five pokemon?> It asked, beaming cheerfully at her.

Florrie saw Angel leave and then responded to the other trainer, smiling sweetly. <I love it here sweetie!> The sunflora crooned. <Are you being served?>
As soon as the sunflora inquired a loud noise came from the other room followed by a loud 'quack'. An egg rolled dangerously across the floor (a rather big one) and tapped gently against Aveon's foot.
<Ha! That would be Wiles, our ludicolo stacking it again!> <I'M OKAY!> <The tiled floors here are a bit slippery for his slimy feet!> The sunflora whispered, leaning in closer to Aveon.
<Where did the tropius egg go?> Came Wiles voice in the other room. Florrie chuckled. <Let me have fun with him! Don't tell him you've got it!> Florrie said, pointing to the tropius egg at Aveon's feet. <That silly duffa will be looking for it for a while!>
Florrie left giggling.

Neo nodded from where he was laying. "Yeah. A drink."
The boy continued to stare at the ceiling, not making eye contact with Professor Plum. He still felt quite dizzy from his fall in Kantex Central, and all the sweet smells of the farm just weren't helping.
ooc|| Sorry, didn't see that you had replied here.

Prof Plum, noticed that the young boy wanted some space to think or relax. "Okay, darl! I will be right back with some herbal mint tea."
With that she left the room, waddling in a rather cute way, muttering under her breath.

ooc|| Now this is sad...it took me nearly three months to notice you had replied to this.

Neo sighed. Now that he was alone, hopefully, he would be able to get his thoughts straightened out. Straightened out? Neo almost laughed at the lame pun he had made in his mind, something he doubted anyone else would get. This was serious.
At least it smelled good in here. Neo found himself once again attempting to bring himself out of bed, failing once more as a spell of dizziness took over. Well, now all he could do was wait for the waddling lady to return.

A few minutes past...
"Oh dear!-"... "ARGH! XANTHE!" *clutter* "Darl! Xanthe! The hoppip are racing down the corridors again! Please send them outside!"
The door to the room opened. Hoppip could be seen zooming passed outside the open door. Professor Plum set the tray of two cups and pitcher of milk down on top of a desk near the door. She closed the door and pushed the glasses up her button nose and adjusted her brown hair.
SHe then picked up the tray and smiled sweetly at Neo. "Here love! Enjoy!" She said, handing him his mint tea. "Do you want milk with that?" She asked, milking her chai latte.

Neo hardly heard what the Professor was saying. He was busy watching the Hoppip playing outside. They seemed so happy...and un-scary. Perhaps he would be okay here after all.
The teen took the tea and brought it to his mouth and took a great drink of it before realizing that it was hot. Neo's face turned red as he coughed. Some how, he managed not to spill the tea in all the commotion.
Finally, when he had recovered, he asked, "What do you want from me?" Neo had been around long enough to know that there was no such thing as a free meal.

Professor Plum waved napkins towards Neo for a split second and then realised he didn't need them. She pocketed them as mothers do, for future use.
She chuckled and shook her head, her chins wobbling slightly. She was quite opposite to Xanthe. Xanthe was very beautiful, serene and elegeant, making sure she kept up her appearance. Professor Plum on the other hand was plump, clumsy and seemed a bit scattered. But on the plus side, she was adorable.
She was like a cute little wide mum anyone would want: overbearing at times, but always supportive and wanting the best for everyone.
"Oh darling! You passed out after agreeing to help work here on the Eruca Breeding Farm's remember? Xanthe informed me." She sipped her chai latte.
"All will be free if you work here, while we pay you for your labor. We need a lad to clean up the smelly pens, round up the trouble making pokemon and train some pokemon up appropriately."

"Oh yeah," Neo lied. He didn't remember anything of the sort. He instantly regretted his agreement when he heard about the pokemon. Though he wasn't sure if there was any sort of higher power, Neo said a silent prayer in his head to whatever might be up there, hoping desperately that whatever pokemon they wished him to watch after wouldn't be much larger than the Hoppips he had seen floating by a moment before...and that they wouldn't have taste for human flesh.
"What pokemon?" he finally got the nerve up to ask, not sure whether it was better for him to know or not. "I've never actually, you know, been with pokemon so much," there was pain in Neo's eyes, "don't like them much. But I can learn." The teen was really warming up to Plum; he rarely said much to anyone, at least not since he had lost Marc.
Neo and his friend Marc were hiding in a trench on the outskirts of an abandoned construction site. No one would find them there, or so they thought. It had been that evening, there on the ground, that Marc had told Neo of his plans to escape. This had been followed by a strange silence in which Neo tried to swallow what his friend was saying...Marc couldn't be serious.
They were just beginning to feel safe when they heard panting noises. Soon, a giant fiery Arcanine and a Rhydon came into view. There was no mistaking the fact that the pokemon and the people yelling behind them were coming in their direction, and there was no telling what they would do to Neo and Marc if discovered.
"It's either now or never," Marc said, looking Neo in the eyes. Marc hugged Neo quickly before darting out of the trenches, trying to escape. Neo just sat there, too surprised to act as the pokemon chased down his friend. He never saw Marc again.
ooc|| Hrm. Okay, I admit...the majority of that flashback scene was CAP from another site I used to use Neo on...I think the site's dead now...but anyways, I wouldn't be surprised if flashbacks become more common...Neo really is a haunted little boy...okay, I say "little" but he's probably the oldest PC on kantex (that is player character, as opposed to NPC- non player character.)

"Well, then we'll start you with the easy pokemon, like the hanging gardens where hoppip, sunflora, cherubi, treecko, bulbasaur, bellsprout, roselia, oddish and other young pokemon like to rest.
When you're comfortable with that, we'll get you looking after the forest pokemon, which you should anjoy the most due to the variety of colour of autumn pokemon their.
Then we'll move you onto the jungle and rainforest pokemon. Victreebel and tropius are the hardest to tame and look after, following torterra, sceptile and ESPECIALLY carnivine.
But don't you worries, your life will not be put in jeopardy. You're in good hands and our pokemon will teach and assist you, darling." Chuckled plum. She pushed her glasses up her face again. She was watching Neo's face change as she mentioned the carnivine.

"Hoppip, Sunflora, Cherubi," Neo repeated, trying to remember the names, though he lost track after the first three, and shook his head. He perked up at the mention of Carnivine, but not in a good way (if that needs to be said at all.) The boy suddenly felt sick and dizzy all over again, and once again raised his tea to drink (though this time he did remember that it would be too hot to swallow all at once.) He didn't even know what a Carnivine was, and yet, the way that the Professor had said it made him feel faint. He hardly heard her words of encouragement that followed; the poor boy was far too caught up, trying to think of what kind of horrible creature this Carnivine must be to recieve special attention from Plum. Surely a plant couldn't be that bad. Neo shuddered.

"Woah! That wasn't appropriate of me to say my love. You suddenly don't look well." Plum apoligised.
"Maybe you should rest up a bit more? Have you fiished with your tea?" She placed her finish cup beside the bed.
