OLD PROFILE
Name: Neo DOB: March 13, 1989 Gender: Male
Appearance: Overgrown dirty blonde hair nearly covers the patch which is stretched across Neo's left eye. It was lost in a fight, one of many Neo had in the later part of his teen years. His body (unlike the pic o_0) varies between tan and bright red (sunburn) and he is very muscular due to spending the last few years of his life in a labor camp. (I think the rest can be told from the pic...)
Personality: Neo is quieter than most guys his age which could be lead to him being labeled "anti-social" or be mistaken as a sign of weakness upon his part. However, Neo is neither of the above. He gets along fine with most people after he gets over the initial distrust (which usually takes all of five minutes.) Despite his easy-going attitude towards most things, his loyalty and trust can turn on a dime. Neo is suspicious of everyone and everything, which is a trait that seems to contradict every other part of his personality.
History of Naikupo: Naikupo, a smaller region (only a third of the size of Kantex), isolated by waters on three sides and mountains on the fourth. Two peoples (the Heishins and Lalons) united to form a single community, henceforth known as the Naikupo tribe or as Naikupians. Heishins were the majority, outnumbering Lalons seven to one. Rumor has it there were once other minorities, lost tribes. There is no proof of their existance, other than the oral history passed down through some lines of Heishins (even this is rare, as it is forbidden to speak of such things.)
Naikupians would be known for their advances in technology if it weren't for the fact that they are so isolated from the rest of the world. The waters around them are intense, crashing uppon jagged cliffs. The mountains on the fourth side are so treacherous that nations on either side dare not try to cross over. There are rumors of successful passages (though only a few, as it is forbidden to speak of such things.) They rarely make attempts at relations with other lands, except to a small island on the east, Kiopo, which is their middleman between the rest of the world. The inhabitants of Kiopo are under strict watch at all times; the Naikupian government feels that their independance is essential and too much contact with others is dangerous.
There was a time, many years ago, when the Naikupian people were spread out throughout the land with no central government. That was before Latsonal (rest his soul) of the Lalon tribe came foward for the good of the people causing the unification of all peoples. Because of him, the people of Naikupo are much better off than before.
Under the rule of Latsonal (rest his soul) people were treated equally and shared everything. Those who resisted his rule were sent off to find their own way. They were inferior and obviously greatly lacked intellect for not seeing that Latsonal (rest his soul) had made the perfect plan that guaranteed happiness to all.
Latsonal (rest his soul) in his great wisdom, appointed many others of his tribe to office. This was a fortunate decision for the Naikupian society, for soon after, Latsonal (rest his soul) was martyred by the evil one, reminding us that even the greatest of men can be lost to a single bullet, a single mindset. The evil one was quickly taken care of, however, it soon became apparent that he was not the only one who shared this anti-peace ideology. In fact, this virus-like belief system had spread through the whole of the Heishin tribe.
Fortunately for all, Latsonal (rest his soul) in his infinite wisdom, had already written a document, which claimed Jianmen (he is mighty) as heir to the head of the Naikupian government.
Jianmen (he is mighty), though younger than his predecessor, shared in Latsonal's (rest his soul) intelligence. He quickly put down those against peace, sending them to labor camps when necessary. Though it saddens him, he was forced to excile much of the Heishin tribe to such places and continues to do so to this day. The rest of the Heishin people are kept out of the main cities fore safety reasons. But the people as a whole are better because of it.
Neo's Story: Neo was born on the thirteenth day of the third month of the twentyfirst year of Latsonal to Bhann and Rem of the Heishin people. He grew up in the province of Lile, towards the southern waves and was considered largely to be a good child, able to interact well with his peers and teachers alike. However, in his fourteenth year (the thirty-fifth of Latsonal, that is), he was declared unfit for society. Neo had certain flaws which are largely looked down upon by the Naikupian society. He had been given a chance to work a shift in the city. But while there, he got in a fight over this issue, nearly killing another man of the Lalon people, in the process.
Though many called for his death, it was known that such could cause another uprising in the Heishin people, so instead, Neo was sentenced to ten years in a labor camp. On the sixth day of the twelfth month of thirty-eighth year of Latsonal, he was declared dead. Neo's body was never found.
