[All previous characters have been archived. If you wish to have it returned to the Active Characters board, simply pm me or another active mod.]
So you want to make a new character? Follow these simple guidelines to do so..
- Make sure you include plenty of detail about your character - Try to discuss the following areas; Appearance, Personality, Likes and Dislikes, Skills and Hobbies, Strengths and Weaknesses and History. Aim for above 500 words altogether. They should be spelled impeccably and grammatically correct.
- Creativity should start at the very beginning! You can present the Character Bio in any way that you like, as long as it includes the right sections and is reasonably easy to read. If you prefer to use images or bullet points for some of the sections, by all means go ahead; but try to include detail and flesh out a character.
- WIP (Works in Progress) are allowed, though you need to specify so in the Subject Name. You can always edit this afterwards, but it makes it easier for the mods..
- Generic characters are a no-no! Be original, and try to avoid making a Mary-Sue/ Marty Stu. These are characters who have amazing skills and talents, are attractive and intelligent and practically perfect. No-one in real life is, so why should anyone be so in Kantex?
- Although your character may have had history with pokemon, they may not bring any to Kantex, under any circumstances. The same applies to items, save for key items that have no application in battles, pokemon interaction, navigation or environmental manipulation. Therefore, a prized pocket watch is acceptable, but a Fire Stone isn’t.
- Plagiarism will result in sanctions. The same applies to the playing of canon characters or of characters that are based obviously on real people.
