"This place is, like, totally boring! I mean, it has no bugs! Not even a teensy weensy Caterpie!"
Growling silently, and kicking up random, harmless pebbles, Chandler marched down the Route. Meh. There were hardly any Pokémon of her interest to be found on this Route. Logan, who was following his new trainer much to his dismay, didn't seem to mind. I guess he found it rather funny, seeing the female being annoyed like this.
"Logan, why aren't there any Bug Pokémon here?"
<I don't know.>
"You don't know, or you don't care?"
<Pick one.>

A raticate stalked them from the time they left the Kantex Region's City. It now took the opportunity to strike Chandler's scyther's unaware. It came at Logan with a bite attack.

Logan had been caught by surprise, despite the fact he had noticed a presence besides his own and Chandler's. The Raticate managed to chomp down on one of the Scyther's wings, Logan wincing in pain.
Chandler spun around, her eyes growing wide as she recognized the Pokémon attacking hers. Well, she didn't quite recognize it, but it's picture hadn't been on the Route Information sign, had it?
"Oh, Logan!"
<Shuddup and gimme some orders!>
The female swallowed, straining her memory to remember what kind of attacks a Scyther had. There was...Bide, and...
"Logan, use Screech!"
Not really understanding the use of it, the Scyther growled, before uttering a rathher loud Screech. Chandler smirked. Hopefully it would scare the Raticate into letting Logan go.

In reaction at the scyther's screech it blocked it's large ears, letting go. It growled at Logan and came at him again with a scratch.

Chandler bit her bottom lip, watching her Scyther take the Scratch and stagger backwards. Logan growled, beating his wings in a rather annoyed manner. That didn't only seem to give the Scyther a little reminder of to push on; it seemed to wake up Chan as well.
"Oh, uhm...Use Quick Attack, Logan!"
After giving a small nod of approval, the Scyther rushed forwardsm trying to slam himself into his opponent.

The fast raticate used quick attack at the same time, both slaming into each other. It clutched at it's head as it received a critical hit. It seemed a bit dazed- confused.

Logan had winced as the force of the both Quick Attack's pushed him backwards, yet the Scyther managed to still remain upright. It was obvious that he was getting tired; his opponent was an evolved Pokémon and thus a little stronger than he was.
But still. Logan had pride and an image to maintain, so he was most likely not going to show his Mistress he was getting tired. Not like Chandler seemed to notice anyways.
"Logan, use Fury Swipes!" the blonde ordered, her hands clutched to fists, and her light blue eyes focused on her Bug/Flying Type. Again, the Scyther obeyed his Trainer's order, raising his scythes and lashing out at the Raticate.

It snarled ferociously as it received the fury swipes... Once... Critical hit! Twice... Critical hit again! Three... Four times!
It gave such a sinister leer at scyther that scyther's defense dropped considerably low. Now in it's confusion, yet boiling rage it lunged at scyther with a hyperfang! But it only hyperfanged itself somehow, knocking itself out by the powerful move.
Scyther gained 2 levels!

There had been a silence after Logan defeated the Raticate, the only sound audible being the panting of the Scyther. The Bug/Flying type silently backed up to his Trainer.
"...That...kicked...butt! Logan, you rocked! And I'm snatching that Raticate!" Chandler cheered al of the sudden, emracing her Stater in a hug. That was something Logan didn't really appreciate, but he allowed it nevertheless.
With a grin, Chandler retrived a Pokéball from her bag, and tossed it at the Raticate. Logan waited behind her, scythes crossed.

OOC// I am back. Fear me. >3
BIC// It was silent for a moment, after the Pokéball stopped moving. Logan seemed to enjoy it, but onfortunately for him, it didn't last as long as he had hoped.
"...I CAUGHT A RATICATE! WHOO!" the blonde cheered, rushing forward and snatching the orb off the ground, cradling it as if it was her child. The Scyther watched his owner, rolling his eyes.
<How about you thank me instead of letting your ego grow even larger?> the Bug/Flying type complained, but Chandler paid him no heed. She was too excited, having a new Pokémon by her side.
"I'm gonna name her...Hmm...Rogue. Yeah."
Logan snorted, marching past his owner. It was only moments since his last fight, and he was already eager to get into another.

A Vulpix sat in the middle of the route, licking his paws. The pokemon looked up from his cleaning to watch the trainer who seemed far to pleased to have caught a Raticate. Because, everyone knows that Vulpix is a far superior pokemon. The arrogant fox yipped a little, just to catch the trainer's attention. Then, he quickly looked away, pretending to be interested in the dust which had been kicked up by that stupid pup Houndour. Vulpix could hardly believe that some scientists actually put them in the same category of the fire element. His disgust deepened when the dog-type rammed into a nearby tree by complete accident. The fox shook his head in utter pity. Some things were just too stupid to be helped.

Chandler's eyes indeed caught sight of the Vulpix sitting on the path, but she quickly looked away. She'd never liked Fire Types. She was a little allergic to Pokémon fur. Not to mention that Fire Types were Bug killers.
...Wait a minute. Logan was a Bug. Logan was an annoying, stubborn Bug. Not good.
"...Logan?" the female mumbled, slipping her hands into her pockets.
<What do you want now?>
"Watch out."
The Scyther snorted, rolling his eyes and marching straight past the Vulpix and Houndour. Only when Logan passed both Fire Types, Chandler seemed to notice the Houndour that had rammed face-first into the tree. Though she didn't want to get any closer to it, the girl couldn't leave the poor thing there all alone. What if it was hurt? So, Chandler carefully approached the Dark/Fire Type canine, crouching down to level with it.
"...Are you okay?"

The Vulpix gasped when the trainer completely ignored him. She had some nerve. The fox considered flaming her out of spite...but perhaps if he showed her a trick. No one, not even some stupid brat with a Scyther could resist him. After all, he was the most handsome Vulpix in the world. That's what the last three trainers had said before he had ditched them. They had not abandoned him. He had tired of their incredibly stupid ways.
Houndour rubbed his aching head with one paw. As his vision cleared, he saw the vague outline of a trainer. The pokemon yipped a little. His vision really must be failing. When he realized that the one before him wasn't just a mirage, the pokemon stuttered, trying to figure out something to say. He was almost certain that he had been spoken to, though at the time, he had been to dizzy to figure out what. <Uhh...huuhh....huhhh...>

The girl covered her nose in an attempt to stop herself from sneezing. Dog hairs...Meh.
"Are...Are you alright? Ah...ACHOO!"
Logan stopped dead in his tracks when Chandler sneezed. The Scyther spun around, his scythe-arms raised in a position that suggested he was about to attack. When he noticed nothing threatening him, he hissed.
<WHAT ON EARTH DID YOU DO?!>
"I sneezed." Chandler replied, looking up and rubbing her sore nose. "I'm allergic to Pokémon hair. Dog hair actually, but a Houndour is a dog."
<...Right. Don't do it again.> the Scyther growled, his attention aimed at the Vulpix now. He narrowed his eyes at the fox. Yuck, Fire Types.
<What are you looking at, fox?>

Houndour attempted to escape, scared by the sneeze. However, the dog pokemon hit the tree again in the process and ended back on his butt, once again dizzy.
Fire fox looked away from the Scyther, ignoring this obviously inferior pokemon. Sometimes menaces just couldn't be helped. But perhaps the trainer would come to her senses as soon as she saw how great he was. Vulpix blew a little ember attack in front of him, catching a nearby leaf on fire. That would get her attention.

The flame certainly did catch Chandler's attention this time, but probably not in the way the Vulpix would've wanted. Chan grew pale and shot up as she noticed the flames.
"L-l-logan? Maybe we should get out. I dun like fire."
<No kidding.> the Scyther snorted, bringing his foot down on the burning leaf, putting the fire out. It obviously hurted him, but apart from wincing, Logan was determined not to show any of it.

The vulpix was offended by such an act of supremacy. So it spat a flaming hot coal onto the foot of scyther, insulted by it's intruding nature.
The houndour knew he was going to witness something... scary. Slowly, slowly, it backed off.

OOC// Sorry for the not replying thing. Been working on my region...It needs tweaking. ^^;
BIC// The Scyther's eyes grew slightly wider as the Vulpix spat fire at him. The wings on his back beating fast, Logan jumped back to dodge the flames, snarling at the fox. Stupid little posh thing...Thinking he could just fire at him and getting away with it. Not if Logan could help it.
Chandler swallowed, following the Houndour's example and backing away a little. Great, some mess Logan got himself in...
"Logan, don't do it, you idiot!"
<That red thing there started it. I'm finishing it.> the Bug replied stubbornly, raising his scythe-arms in a rather defensive position.
<Order up.>
"Okay, okay...Quick Attack, then." Chandler growled, her hands clenching to fists. Stupid stubborn little thing... But it was Logan, she couldn't really expect anything else. His wings beating still, to give him a little extra speed, the Scyther dashed forwards, trying to strike the Vulpix head-on. [/sup]

The Vulpix's face turned from fearful to sly in a split second, spitting out more flames before the Scyther collided.
Houndour started to dart away, but smacked into another tree in the process. <Oof.> He sat on his haunches, dizzy from the impact once more. Finally, the dog pokemon just lay down, realizing that being the klutz that he was, he probably wasn't going anywhere soon.
