Honoo was hit in the eyes and he grunted, his accuracy falling just a little. He rubbed out most of the sand. "Ember, Honoo." Katou stated and Honoo shot out embers, or weak flames, out at the Pidgey. He grunted, with the same sad look he always had.

Oh! The pidgey narrowly missed the scorching attack. But it managed to get itself burned! It launched a gust at the houndour as it chirped at it's searing burn. |

Honoo stood ground as he was blasted with the gust. "I may have been the weakest of my pack, but I will not lose to some pidgey!" he said with his teeth grinding together. Katou looked surprised, " Maybe a Tackle?" he asked as Honoo threw himself at the pidgey.

<Hey I'm over here you dumb dog!> Giggled the pidgey as it watched Honoo tackle not even close to it. It launched another blinding sand attack into the eyes of Honoo. The pidgey was hiding the pain of it's burn. |

Honoo grumbled as the sand hit his eyes once more. He then tried using an ember in the direction of the sound of the pidgey, since he could not see very well. He couldn't get the sand out of his eyes.

The ember attack unfortunately struck the pidgey again! The pidgey had no way in defending itself against such a fiery attack. It fluttered helplessly to the ground incredibly weak... the burn still taking it's toll on the tiny bird pokemon.
<I may be brave but I'm not stupid. I'll pass out again if you use that attack. You win!>

Honoo was picked up by Katou as Katou rubbed the sand out of his eyes. He threw a pokeball at the pidgey, since he now had the right to capture it.

The pidgey panicked. It volunteered to battle but it didn't want to be caught! But due to it's weakness it stayed in the ball.  ((Stats))

Katou opened the pidgey's pokeball. It sighed and looked at its new trainer. "You two fought bravely." he said, petting Honoo and the pidgey. "I'll name you... Ardos." he said to the pidgey. The pidgey chirped happily and Keiken popped out of her pokeball, smiling. Then they set off for route 2.
