" Well Machop, looks like we've still got no new Pokemon, a fault that all your-". Dan was suddenly sent flying backwards as Machop punch him right in the face.
" It's not my fault! You told me to beat the crap outta'em"! Machop crossed his arms across his chest and huffed.
Dan, rubbing his cheek, scowled. " Riiiight, I totally told you to send our only chance at a flying Bidoof off into the sky. Sigh, whatever, there's bound to be some Pokemon Somewhere here".
Machop, calmed down and cool, nodded. " Right, we just gotta' look".

Ash and Riolu stood in the shade of a tree, watching the new trainer and his pokemon. Ash was also looking for pokemon, and were also low on luck. Ash walked over to teh trainer, extending his hand.

Dan, instead of shaking hands, did a thumbs up. " Name's Dan Strate, soon to be ultimate Pokemon Trainer. And this is my buddy Machop".
" 'Sup". Machop nodded.
" We're lookin' for a new buddy to join, since it's just me and....him". Dan said, pointing at Machop.
" Teh' heck's that supposed to mean"?!
" Nothing....yet".

Riolu laughed, and Ash smiled. He took a step back and Riolu walked over to machop, examining him intently. It was in case there was a battle. Riolu liked to know his opponents weaknesses. A good plan, but when he evolved, then he wouldn't need to do that. Ash shook his head as Riolu walked next to Ash.
<He looks weak enough. A new trainer doesn't usually have the strongest pokemon, unlike you with me.>
Ok, Riolu don't get cocky, like usual. We still have a lot of work to do before you can say that.

" Yo', who are you callin' weak bub'"? Machop walked forward and squinted his eyes. " I took out three Flying Bidoof with a single Kick! I'm so out of your level I could-Mmphh"!
Dan covered Machops mouth with his hands and grinned. " Sorry, he's got a temper. But anyways it's been tough. We've yet to catch a single Pokemon and we thought if we came out here lookin' we'd find one, so far no luck".

<Ooooh. You can take out pokemon with a type difference with one attack. Oh so strong. I should show you strong right now, little pokemon, unless you don't feel like taking a swim.>
The lake was nearby, and all Riolu needed was one attack, then a timed counter would send the Machop sailing into it. Ash knew that Riolu was getting too talky, but Machop was getting to cocky, and a swim would show him otherwise. Riolu's speed and strength would show him.

Machop twitched his eye in anger. " Why you blue son'uva-Oof"!
Dan suddenly sat down atop Machop, making sure he couldn't move. " Nope, we need to preserve our strength for the Pokemon we're catchin', sorry dude".

Riolu stuck its tongue out at the machop, then prance playfully away. Riolu had too much energy and had no real way to spend it but in battle. Once Riolu was far enough away, he sat on his haunches, looking at the trainer on top of his pokemon.
<C'mon, just one small battle? I wont hurt it that bad, I promise.>
Ash would let Riolu talk his way into this, and wont help him out. Riolu is also more dangerous than a normal pokemon because of the martial arts that Ash had shone Riolu. He was now faster and stronger than most anything at his level,a force to be reckoned with. [/sub] |

"Wassup!" came Nero's voice. He was the youngest here, but he could tell the other two were inexperienced. What's more, it seemed as though one was trying to muscle in a fight. Nero smiled slightly, then extended his PokeNav.
"I'm Nero Alby, from Pallet. Neither of you would happen to have a Dragonite, would you?" Now that he thought about it, it seemed unlikely, but they WERE about the same age. Still, if they didn't, at least he'd have met two new people. In any case, Nero was here to visit the Lapras Shrine. He had a very special wish to make.

Ash and Riolu, in unison, looked up to the new trainer when he spoke. He was younger than Ash, and this first trainer, but what he last said got to Both of them. He may be young, but he knew pokemon like how Ash knew how to fight and defend.
"Hey. I'm Ash Lightning, from Hoenn. Sorry, I don't. I only know about them from what I studied on a lab."
<I'm Riolu, the overly strong pokemon to Ash.>
"Don't mind him, he's cocky, and lets things get to his head.

Relax and don't be impatient. With what you are doing, there will be no pokemon. I should just leave for the Lapras Shrine. Maybe I would get a friend along the way, but you're a greenhorn, so maybe i will help you a little. I may have only studied pokemon, and not have an extent of them, but you could use some help, the way i see it.

At that very moment, a farfetch'd appeared out of the bushes. Instinctively, Nero released Clio, his Ninetales. She preened herself quietly, and just when Nero was about to attack the small bird, he turned to Dan and Ash.

Ash Picked up Riolu before he could do anything, and walked over to Nero, resting on one knee next to the young yet powerful trainer. Riolu squirmed a little, but couldn't get out of Ash's grip. [/sub] |

Dan flipped off of Machop, his eyes burning with a new vigor at the sight of this new Pokemon. " Machop, this is our chance, your time to prove to that smug Riolu your skills"!
Machop got up and clenched his fist. " Oh yeah"!
" Machop! Use Leer to lower its Defense and then move in with a Low Kick! Come on"!

The Farfetch'd squawked at the leer, but the Low Kick was of little consequence.
"Low Kick's more useful on big enemies. And it's not very useful against bird pokemon. Not much is gonna happen if you carry on like this!" came Nero's voice. He was getting a little bored watching his inexperienced friend struggle. And he was still no nearer to finding the Dragonite Trainer. He turned to Ash. "Hey, you wanna battle?"

Machop jumped backwards and twitched his eye. " Darnit! I've only got two moves and neither are working"!
Dan blinked, he then closed his eyes and began meditating. He grinned evily suddenly and turned to Machop. " Then make up a new one".
Machop raised a brow. " Huh"?
Dan pointed a finger at the Pokemon they were batteling. " Machop! Use Leer on the Farfetch one more time, and this time use Low Kick to send up some dirt at its face"!
Machop grinned. " You clever jerk".

The new attack was enough to throw off the Farfetch'd. The dirt in it's face blinded it, sending it flying backwards into a tree trunk. It used a poison jab attack, missing Machop twice, but striking Dan in the rib

Dan blinked, he was still grinning as he looked down and saw the wound that Farfetch'd had done. " That's....not good". Dan fell to one knee, but kept his grin.
Machop widened its eyes in shock. " ....Dan"? Seeing his Partner actually in pain sent Machop over the edge. Forgetting about everything else, the Fighting Pokemon turned back to his opponent with powerfull fury in his eyes.[glow=blood,2,300] " YOU"! [/glow]Machop leapt forward, focusing every bit of its anger into one, powerfull kick.

Sure, but I think you're a little too strong for me, Unless you have a real low level pokemon. Riolu here can still take out some stronger pokemon, well, those that are within reason.
Ash grinned, but turned his head to watch the battle unfolding. It was going bad for the machop, as its low-kick attack was doing little. The smart thing was to improvise, but when the Farfetch'd hit Dan. Ash was on his feet, but didn't move. He seemed ok, but would need to get looked at soon, to see if it was bad. For now, Ash did nothing, and Riolu, now on the ground, was pacing, waiting for something to happen. [/sub] |

As before, the Farfetch'd released a flurry of attacks as it fell, eventually resulting in a long gash appearing in Nero's cheek. It took 3 seconds of stunned silence.
<Oh no, you're in for it now,> came Clio's voice. She leapt forward, and after the barrage of Quick Attacks, Roars, Embers and Will-o-wisps that followed, there was not a chance that Farfetch'd would survive unfaint.
Nero and Clio then did the Carameldansen, and then they all had a tea party. Many fairies came and served them all root beer. Mountain Dew was also served. Nero then summoned his vast array of pokemon cards as well as the rare Jirachi ex. Everyone was pwned. Nero and Clio Carameldansed again

Dan swaggered forward, his grin still on his face, red could be seen coming out of where the attack had hit. He fell to one knee and then..." Syke"! Dan screamed as he grinned, if possible, wider. He pulled his hand from his jacket to reveal...a bottle of Ketchup. " Lucky I had this on me. Oh and my catch". Dan tossed a Pokeball at Farfetch, he could at least catch it through all the trouble he's been through. " Nice actin' Machop".
Machop grinned. " Please, I was golden".
