Larvitar may have dodged the frontal assault of the scratch attack. The mankey continued it's 360 scratch attack, scratching larvitar behind the head.

After the hit, Larvitar got up quickly. "Larvitar, Bite where ever you can!" Larvitar didn't hesitate with a quick opponent and Bite Mankey's right arm again, this time he squeezed down as hard as he could.
The battle wasn't looking to good. They both probably received just about the same amount of damage, but the Mankey was lasting a lot longer.

The Mankey smiled, sensing that he was gaining the upper hand in this fight. However, it soon disappeared as he was bitten multiple times. The pokemon let out a shrill scream before retreating to the branches of a nearby tree. The pokemon smiled again, and stuck his tongue out at Mac and Larvatar, pleased to be so clever as to find the canopy's sanctuary.

"Alright, you won Larvitar, let's go," Mac dragged Larvitar to the Lapras Shrine. When Larvitar tried to walk on his own, Mac let go and continued on. With nothing stopping them now, Mac hoped, the two continued their way to the Lapras Shrine.

Larvitar gained a level!
Up ahead, a Farfetch'd tossed his leek up into the sky, catching it in his beak. The pokemon chanted as he marched along, the head of a phantom parade.

Mac didn't pay attention and continued on. Larvitar stopped and watched Farfetch'd do his act with the leek. "What now?" Mac noticed Larvitar stopped, "Gosh dang it, if you stop at everything we won't get very far, Larvitar."

Just then, the Farfetch'd noticed the staring Larvitar. He threw his leek straight at the other pokemon's nose, and began to laugh. He thought the other pokemon rather funny looking, and his trainer even more so.

Mac gave a long sigh. Another Pokemon, another one to bug Larvitar. "Just walk away, please," Mac whispered to Larvitar. Larvitar just started to rub his nose, preventing himself from lunging at the Farfetch'd.

The Farfetch'd burst into a fit of giggles when Larvitar rubbed his nose. The bird pokemon was now rolling on the ground, it was laughing so hard. Another pokemon, Lotad came out to see what was so funny. It stared dumbly at trainer and the pokemon in the area.

The laughing was starting to get annoying. Not to Larvitar who already blew some steam, but now to Mac. He was trying his best not to grin his teeth, but that was a little too hard. He had his flashlight, one good hit would for sure stop the Farfetch'd. "One...good...hit," Mac kept to himself as his hand started to creep toward his backpack's mouth.

The Farfetch'd didn't seem to notice Mac's intentions and continued to roll around, laughing. The Pokemon didn't even stop when he began to snort and blow bubbles through his beak.

Mac continued to reach for his weapon (of mass destruction) and can just feel the cold metal touching his skin. But he couldn't grab hold, something in his mind was stopping him from doing so and attacking the Farfetch'd. Perhaps it was the thought of what the Farfetch'd reacting to the charge, possible future consequences, or else some angel chaining his arm down. We'll never know.
Pulling his hand out of the bag, Mac continued on to walk, not looking back to see Larvitar following slowly.

A couple of Rattata tackled eachother playfully. The first growled cutely before ramming into the other. The lake was also visible from where Mac walked, sparkling as the sun's rays hit it's surface. Everything seemed to be quite calm.

Mac wasn't aware of any beauty of his surroundings. Larvitar would stop to watch the Rattatas play or look at the lake sparkling (if only he could swim for once in his life) before catching up to Mac. Surely they were getting close to the Lapras Shrine, was it really necessary to walk so far?

The Rattatas continued to play. Up ahead, the tip of the Lapras Shrine could be seen from behind some bushes.

"Finally," Mac muttered, "We're here!" Larvitar watched the Rattatas for a moment before looking forward. Larvitar was marveled by the large tower with carvings on the sandy shore. Mac, however, was not impressed. He didn't marvel great things, he didn't even know why either.
The two were then in front of the tower's entrance. "Well, let's go in," Mac started to walk inside.
