Mac and Larvitar headed up a small hill from the Breeding Farms and closer to Maley Lake. It was a short route, and it was morning, so would it hurt to really just take their time? Mac did hear about the Lapras shrine and how it might grant wishes, even if he didn't believe in it, he wanted to give it a shot. So, the two started to head over to the Lapras Shrine.

A marill was also on it's way to the lapras shrine. It didn't seem to mind that two person's were following them.

Mac ignored the Marill, Larvitar seemed a bit wary of it (since he was weak against water.) If they had an egg that was very likely to have a water Pokemon, why bother getting another one? He knew what his main goal was, and he needed to have a perfect team to achieve it.

A pokemon jumped down from the tree above and scratched at the marill. Critical hit! The pokemon that ambushed the marill was a mankey!
The marill responded with a watergun, the mankey responding with a tail whip.

Seeing the Marill in possible danger, Larvitar started to rush toward it. But instead, Mac held Larvitar back, without saying a single word to wait. If the Marill was in trouble, then Mac would let Hoothoot out instead, a better advantage over a Mankey.

With a well aimed punch to the forehead, the mankey knocked out the marill!
Mankey gained a level!

"Okay, you can go," Mac let go of Larvitar. They probably shouldn't fight the Mankey, but he just had a feeling Larvitar was going to revenge the Marill.
Larvitar looked at the Mankey for a second before asking in a language Mac couldn't understand, "Why did you attack the Marill?"

<Cos marill suck! We have our land, they have their water! They should live in their own scum and not bring their filth up on land!> It sneered. <Don't stand up for water scum! You should stand up for us land pokemon!>

It was times like these, Mac just wondered what Pokemon would say. "If only I had some translator or could at least understand Larvitar..."
<"So? Bird Pokemon come down from the sky, some water Pokemon have to go on land to eat. Why don't you go back to a tree or something?"> Larvitar taunted in hopes to correct Manky's view. If Mac just knew what he just said, it might not be pretty on Mac's side for sure.

The mankey fumed at Larvitar's comment.
<Say that to my face! I dare ya'!>

<"Okay then, I will!"> Larvitar said with a bitter voice at the Mankey, moving forward without a second thought. Mac wasn't enjoying the scene. If the Mankey got any more furious or if Larvitar continued to look as if he was applying more pressure, Mac would just pull him out.

<My face is here!> It leered at the larvitar. <It's waiting to see you up close and personal!>
The atmosphere grew cold and extremely intense as it continued to stare them both down.
What would larvitar do?

Now, the smart thing would have been to back off or else approach cautiously. But when it comes to anger, some people aren't to bright during the situation. Larvitar went even closer to Mankey without hesitating, now the two were in striking range.
"5...4...3..." Mac started to count down when he would pull Larvitar away.

It snorted out puffs of dust from it's pig-like nose and it's eye's bulged, red veins visible pumping violently.
It stood it's position, arms back, a slight flex waiting for the larvitar to take him on. It leered continually as it silently stood pumped by anger.

Larvitar continued his wrathful attack on the Mankey, but Mac just finished his countdown. "Alright, you're going to get yourself in a deep hole before we barely begun," he said as he dragged the squirming Larvitar. "Think for a second, Larvitar. How would taking down a Mankey solve the problem? You're just going to cause more problems."

It wasn't the larvitar that set the mankey off... It was a team effort!
<You were planning to take me out?> It raged. It came at Larvitar with a scratch attack.

"Oh...shoot," Mac muttered as Larvitar was attacked. So much for a peaceful walk.
The attack didn't affect Larvitar as much, but the minor bruises were still there from last night. Larvitar quickly responded with back with a Bite to Mankey's right arm

(Ooc: I'm so sorry! I've been so busy! Running an exhibition this term!)
The mankey tried to shake off larvitar. It swung it's paws at Larvitar's face to scratch him off.

Larvitar lost his grip on the Mankey's arm but managed to barely dodge the scratch. "Sure you want to do this?" Mac asked Larvitar, but he took a standing back up and facing Mankey as a yes.

The mankey used a fury swipe attack against larvitar, spinning around wildly. It hit once... twice... missed... three times! However the attack wasn't very affective.

Larvitar still managed to hold his position. Again, without Mac saying anything, he bit at Mankey's arm again in hope of making it harder for it to fight back.

<YOWCH! YYARR!!!> It yowled as it decided to spin around fast to make larvitar fly off from it's arm. When that didn't work it jumped up and down in pain, trying to slam Larvitar on the ground to let go.

Larvitar still held on. The shaky caused him to squeeze harder to avoid letting go. When he was slammed against the ground, his head hit the ground hard enough that his mouth sunk even more. But he had to let go, the shock was to hard on him. <"Gosh dang you have a lot of strength while in pain,"> Larvitar commented.

<All the better TO THRASH YOU WITH!!!> It screamed at Larvitar in fury. It launched another scratch attack.

Larvitar fell down while dodging the attack, at least he didn't get hit. Larvitar got up, but he couldn't turn around quick enough to attack the Mankey.
