Finally on Route Two, Astra was glad that they hadn't made any wild pokemon encounters. She was attempting to avoid using any sort of pokeball at any cost. But, being a trainer, that would hope would eventually be quashed. She had to catch a pokemon at some point. Maybe she should've been a breeder.
Green sighed, <There's practically nothing to do. Astra, remember when you said we should be quiet and we might see a pokemon? Well, being quiet's boring, but I still want to see a pokemon!> Then, leaping off her head, Green took off into the bushes again yelling, <POKEMON! POKEMON! COME OUT, COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE!> repeatedly.
<He's insane,> Percy noted.
<You think?> Astra retorted as she took off after Green, <Well, come on everyone! I don't think it's safe to catch the twerp alone. . . or maybe I just don't want to. Pfft, make up your own reason to follow him, I guess.>

Eva, mimicked Green, only she yelled, "Roar" rather than anything that could be understood. Zon, Zon3, and Zon4 also followed, but more silently. Zon seemed especially alert, constantly looking for anything that might prove to be trouble. Or maybe that was Zon3..or Zon4.
Up ahead, a Lotad was playfully shooting a Zigzagoon with spurts of water. The Zigzagoon shook his head annoyedly, but the Lotad continued to squirt.
A nearby bush seemed had red berries hanging from it. Well, all except one were red; this one was a shiny blue color.

<Berries!> Percy squealed happily, <And look! All re--Oh no.> His voice tensed, it became worried, <This is horrible. Astra! You're the trainer! Quick! I can't look at it, all blue and shiny up against all the red and green!>
Astra stared at Percy's cowering figure. Carefully taking the berry from the bush she said, <Percy, it's just a berry you know.>
Percy looked at Astra with an scandalous look, <And a pokeball's just a pokeball. If you intended to try and reason with my fears, you should have given up yours a while ago.>
But before she could retort, Green bounced onto her head and squealed with delight. <POKEMON! POKEMON!> Leaping off her head, he went over to the Zigzagoon and the Lotad. <Watcha doing? Can I play? Wanna be my friend? Wanna fight? Wanna--> the Aipom asked inquisitively.

But as Astra took the blue-ish sphere from the bush, it became apparent that it wasn't a berry at all. It was too hard to be one.
Congrats! Astra found Small Blue Egg!
The Lotad giggled before squirting at Green as well. Eva walked up to the pokemon and was squirted as well. "Rawr," followed by her returning to her Sneasel friends.

Astra carefully slipped the egg into her bag before marching past Percy, who was slowly recovering from the bush and over to Green.
<Green, really! You could've--wait, never mind. We're now lost.> Astra snapped.
Green, who was still being squirted with water by the Lotad, laughed. <We're not lost.>
<Yes we are. You've gone too far this time--literally. We've strayed too far from the path and-->
<We're not lost,> This time it was Percy, staring intently at Astra.
<He's right!> Green exclaimed, and turning to the Lotad and the Zigzagoon, said, <They probably know how to get back to the main path.>

Two wingull and a taillow swooped low, laughing together. They circled lowly, the trees, shrubs and reeds. Maybe they'd be good to ask for directions?

Green saw the wingull, then sopping wet, he gleefully took off in the direction of Astra, who was now near a tree. <Wingull! Ooh, they'd probably know where to go!> Leaping onto Astra, he used her head as a springboard to jump up onto a large branch.
Astra rubbed her head, being careful not to touch the scythe attached to her head. Snerking, Astra thought what would happen if Green had landed on her head just a titch to the right.
Green had made his way to a branch on the very top of the tree. <Oy! Wingull! Hi! Do you know how to get the main path? We're lost!>

<Follow the shore! Follow the shore of the lake!> The wingull shrieked. <Path runs parallel to the shore!> The taillow chirped in. <We'll take you to the shore!> The wingull motioned, by suddenly changing direction and heading southward.

<Great!> Green squealed. Jumping down from the tree, he made his way through the large leaves of the tree and then--
<Oof! Green you imbosole!> Percy yelled, <Look! You've messed up my feathers! I'm ruined.>
Green didn't seem to care and didn't reply, instead, he dashed off, following the Wingull. Astra sighed as she grabbed Percy and dragged him as she took off after Green.

The bird pokemon continued to fly, but they hardly seemed to know where they were going. Pretty soon, they were in an even thicker part of the woods.
<It's north, north I tell you!> one of the screeched.
<You think everything's north!>

<Cripes,> Astra said, <Why does this always happen to me?>
<I don't see why you're so upset,> Green said, face grinning, <They're taking us in the right direction!>
<Green, you're an idiot,> Astra snapped, <We're going farther into the woods, not out.>
<Actually,> Percy began, his words wobbly as the dirt he was being dragged upon was gravely, <You're the idiot Astra. Aren't you supposed to have a Pokenav or something?>
Astra ran, not replying to Percy, whom of course was right. Then, she spoke in a voice very unlike her, <Uh, yeah. HEY! BIRDS! COULD YOU PAUSE FOR A SEC?> She began to rummage through her bag until she pulled out the pokenav. They were far from the river, but the next town was still reasonably close.

<If we pause, we'll never make it back to the route before sunset.>
<It always takes this long.>
<But we've never been this way before!>
<Yes we have!>
<You're an idiot.>
<You're an idiot.>
<That's what I said!>
<That's what I said!>
The two birds continued to fight in this manner, one saying something, and the other mimicking. Finally it ended with the Wingull swearing he'd never speak to the Taillow again.

Astra, still clutching the pokénav, sighed. Letting go of Percy, she ran towards a tree, jumping so she was on the trunk. At breakneck speed she turned around and leaped to a higher place on another tree trunk. This continued until she was above the highest leaves of a large tree and standing on a shaky branch.
She stood and watched the birds fly for a while, and then, she leaped to another branch. Astra was following them on top of the forest. Grinning, she mumbled to herself, <Well, I haven't played a game in a while, have I? Got kicked out of the Rockets' games for the most part. So this should be fun.>
Then yelling, she told the wingull, <I really don't mind that we get to the Route past sunset. But you know, since you're doing such a good job leading us, I thought that you should stay with us until the next town. I've heard that there's a great place that serves wonderful pokémon food, alas, it's only open before the sunset. If we got to the town before sunset, I'll reward you. How's that?>
Green hearing this, squealed with delight. <Food, Percy, food!> He yelled as he ran in circles around the delibird, whom was trying to get the dirt of his feathers. <No time for cleaning up!> Green then squashed Percy by jumping on his head. He then did the same to Eva.
Astra looked down past the leaves at Green. If he was told the world was going to end, he'd still be excited. He was that kind of person. Taking off again, she heard a plop! and felt a drop of rain hit her on the shoulder. Staring up, she passed it off as the start of a light sprinkle. The clouds didn't look all that menacing.

<Really?> the Wingull asked, suddenly excited, <And it's only open before sunset?> He was obviously interested.
<Of course grasshopper, that's what the lady said!> the Taillow said, already breaking his oath.
<Well, I know a short cut!>
<You're kidding me...really?>
And with that, the two birds began to fly wildly towards this so-called "short-cut."
But there was a russle in another tree. Eva and the Sneasels had long since disappeared into who knows what, but apparently, one of them had followed. Zon3 bowed slightly, before saying, <I should like to journey with you to the next town as well.>

Astra nodded, <Yeah Zon3. You can still come with us.> Looking at the pokénav one last time, she saw the little dot that was supposed to be the next town. With her luck, they'd probably never get there.
Taking off, she began to follow the birds again, whom were still taking their "short-cut". Meanwhile, down below the tops of the trees, Green was clinging to a tree trunk, Percy dangling from his tail.
<Green, is this really a sensible way to get up? I mean, even then the trees! They're too high up. We'll surely fall.>
Green didn't answer, he was too busy climbing.

<Well, shouldn't I be carried in a proper pokeball?> Zon3 asked expectantly.
Meanwhile, though the birds seemed to fly haphazardly, as if by a miracle, a town appeared.
<HAH! I told you this was the way!>
<But it was I that suggested the short cut!>
<I carried it out!>
<I carried it out!>
<No I did.>
<No I did.>
Great. They were mimicking eachother again.

Astra bit her lip, she stood still. <Um,> she replied, fear inflected in her voice, <I dunno. Percy?>
Percy, whom was now finally at the top of the trees, hopped over to Astra, <I suppose you want me to take a pokeball from your backpack?> And, not waiting for an answer, opened the bag up and took a pokeball from inside. He then casually tossing it over to Zon3.
<Um, thank you Percy?> She thank him, then over at the birds, yelled, <Well, you've found the town. I'll feed you as promised, but first, I have to go over to the Adoption Center, there's someone I need to find.>

The word "food" was screamed between the birds a good number of times, both obviously excited. Their excited chatter soon turned to argument as usual. Zon3 nodded, then tapped the pokeball he was offered with one of his long claws. In an instant, he was consumed by the crimson ray. Congrats! Percy, released Zon3, (the name still stuck) and hopped back to Astra, which he wasted several minutes tidying the contents of her backpack. He then hopped towards the town along with Green, and at the very last tree before the town, he asked, <Um, how do we get down?>
Green grinned, <We jump!> Then, pushing Percy off the tree, he took the somewhat suicidal jump himself.
<Now would be a good time to save them, no?> Zon3 indicated to Astra, alas, she had already leaped off the tree too, though taking a different tact by jumping down branch to branch, catching Percy, whom unlike Green, didn't immediatly cling onto a tree trunk and slide down it like a pole. Sighing, Zon3 followed. And at last they were at Shellau Town.
((OOC: Hm, so I guess Zon3 isn't deserving of a level?))

ooc|| Nope. Heh. Fine. It was supposed to say "13" but I must have forgotten that part. Oh, and did you notice that his name kinda looks like "zone" in chat speak...since we are oh-so-supportive of that sort of thing here on the role play board.
