The way to the Lapras Shrine

After route 1 Heru was walking alone, Cerberus was in her pokeball, resting after her battle with the venonat.

[PBK]

A leaf fell from a nearby tree, though it was impossible to say whether this indicated the presence of a pokemon, or if it was just the wind.

[herukage]

Heru picked up a nearby rock, and threw it at the tree, that way he didn't need to disturb his pokemon if it wasn't another pokemon.

[PBK]

A few leaves fell, followed by a plop. A Lotad was now left fainted on the ground.

[herukage]

He decided to leave the lotad alone and went on his own bussines still looking for pokemon, and thought he saw an ekans and started debating wheter or not to catch it or not.

[PBK]

But it turned out not to be an Ekans at all. The purple-ish color had come from the tail of a Rattata, who now jumped out of hiding, ready to attack Heru. <Gimme all your money and no one gets hurt!> she yelled in a squealy voice.

[herukage]

"Cerberus!" the pokemon let herself out of the pokeball, and used a terrifying leer. 'You want to say that again?" she said growling.

[PBK]

<Gimme yer money!> the Rattata yelled, hopping up and down madly <Mine I say! Mine! All mine!> Apparently, she did want to say it again...

[herukage]

"She said it, tell her what she won." Cerberus nodded, she gave a rapid flame wheel, it hit dead on. "If you want to say it again, tell us now." Cerberus was tired, and the rattata wasn't helping.

[PBK]

<Oooh, you've done it now!> the Rattata said after she had been fried by the flames. <You'll live to regret this!> And with that, she scampered off into the bushes. Heru and his pokemon were alone...or so it seemed.

An Ekans was slithering not to far off.

[herukage]

"Well since your already out would you mind helping me catch the ekans?" Heru asked <I guess not, maybe you'll use the Ekens next time an annoying rattata appears> and with that Cerberus used ember followed by flame-wheel.

[PBK]

The Ekans was hit by the first attack, then dodged the second. <Why do you attack?> the pokemon asked, a glare mixed in with his shocked look. The pokemon leered at Cerberus, followed by a poison sting.

[herukage]

The poise sting hit her and she was poisened, but she kept attacking, and she made no reply, but only another flame wheel, then a leer, then finished with a headbutt.

[PBK]

<Well, if that's the way you want to play,> the Ekans said, grinning madly, <Then I suppose I should give you a taste of your own medicine. The pokemon sprung through the flames, taking minimal damage- straight towards the Houndour. He then used a bite attack, still grinning though he had been burned.

[herukage]

The bite attack hit her right in the shoulder, she decided in long range attacks and got near Heru, who used a potion on her she felt better, but would not last much longer. " Cerberus, hang in just a bit, and use ember again." Heru said, hoping Cerberus got him, and noticed his hand drifting towards an empty pokeball on his belt, he had faith in his houndour.

The Ekans flinched, hurt by the burn, then went in for another bite attack. He seemed determined, perhaps a high level as well. The pokemon wasn't a bit discouraged by his opponent's size.

<AIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!> a chorus of voices shouted. Suddenly, an innumerable group of Rattata's spanned the path.

<I tolju would be sorry!> one of the yelled, the same one he had seen earlier.

The bite missed her, but hit Heru right on the ankle, though it hurt, he didn't say a thing until he noticed the rattata army "Oh (four letter word that begins with f)" Heru started to gather stones, he would have to help Cerberus, he was as determined as the ekans, and Heru threw the rocks at the ekans but mostly the rattata, while Cerberus kept her distance fireing off embers at the ekans, and an occasional rattata, they both knew they would have to run away, but Heru wanted to take as many down as he could before then.

The Ekans was hit by the flame attack and fainted.


Cerberus gained a level!

Though the Rattatas scattered each time a stone was thrown, they didn't go away. There were ten or twenty of them in all, when the one they had met before yelled, <CHARGE!> At that scream, all of them rushed towards Heru.

Heru atarted to run, when he noticed that the ekans fainted, he grinned and threw a pokeball, while he was doing this Creberus used ember, not at the rattata, but at the grass infont of the, setting it ablaze, soon a gaint wall of flame was the only thing that stood between them, and an attack from the pokemon army. "You take a nice long nap, and I'll take care of the rest." Cerberus returned to he pokeball, and Heru grabbed his Absol he got at the breeding farm recently "Go Abitol!" The shadow absol saw the situation, and asked <What do you want me to do?> "Can you use faint attack to sneak past the wall, and attack the rattata, I'll cover you by throwing these stones at them." <I'll try.> and with that absol dissapeared, and Heru started to throw the rocks at the rattata.

The pokeball didn't even shake.

At the sight of the flame, the Rattatas ran around madly. They were shouting things to eachother, though it was impossible to say what in all of the chaos. All stopped when they noticed the Absol. Suddenly, without any hesitation, they all lined up in three even lines, six in each line, one behind the other. The Rattata who had attacked first, stepped out of formation. <We are not worthy, oh great one.> And with that, she fell prostrate, and the others followed suit, repeating, <We are not worthy.>

"Uh?" Heru said, and stopped throwing the rocks and looked at Abitol, he replied <I don't know what their talking about.> he said though you can see that that the worship was going to his head. "Can you please let us through?" Heru asked the ratatta that was obviously the leader.

[PBK]

The lead Rattata cursed Heru. Then, she said to him, <You unworthy one...pfft. Can't you show a little respect.> She spat on the ground. <The only one we will listen to is the great one,> she stated, looking directly at Heru's Absol. The little pokemon continued to bow before the larger one. <We have been waiting a long time for you to come, oh great one.>

[herukage]

"Uh help." Heru asked his Absol <Why have you waited for me?> He was going to ask them to move, but not yet, he wanted to know why first.

[PBK]

<Because,> the lead Rattata said, completely ignoring Heru's pleas, <It is you who have been prophesied to deliver us from,> she paused for effect, <the Shimmering Pecker!> All of the Rattatas began to shake at the mention of the Shimmering Pecker.

[herukage]

<Shimmering Pecker?> Abitol was very confused, and Heru was just hoping to help them and get back on the route for the Lapras Shrine.
