ooc|| Diamond Hide? Huh? Sorry, you lost me there.
bic||
Sparkle reeled back as he was hit with the attack. Fwee was hit and fainted. Twee was not hit, but played dead anyways. Marco returned both to their pokeballs, completely falling for Twee's little act. Trish was tackled to the ground, and immediately flew back to Marco. And Houndour tried to use ember on the nearest Slugma. And Marco? He just shrugged and sighed. This wasn't exactly the way they battled on TV, but it worked...sort of...

( Ooc: Sparkle's special ability, 'Diamond Defense'! Oops! My bad! XD)
The slugma tackled Sparkles this time. The other slugma recovered HP because it had the ability 'Flash Fire', when houndour used ember on it.
As much as the torchic found it amusing how pathetic the Marco's pokemon trained, it became frustrated again when it saw the houndour use ember on the slugma.
<No! No! NO! Tackle it!> It said, hopping over to houndour. <You don't no anything do you?> It said huffily, tackling another slugma.

Sparkle, already weakened by the fire attack, fainted. And that made Marco freak out more than ever. In fact, he began to feel suddenly claustrophobic, despite the fact that he was in a very open area. He grabbed the inhaler out of his back pocket and breathed slowly, in and out. It didn't help much.
Houndour, wasn't very fond of the Torchic's critique and proceeded to aim another ember attack, straight at the bird pokemon.
"Ah! Get me out of here!" Marco screamed, falling to his knees.
<He's lost it now,> Houndour kindly informed anyone within hearing distance.
And Trish used Metronome. Harden. An awful lot of good that does now.

Angry with houndour's actions, it shot through the air right into him giving houndour a double kick! Uh-oh! This torchic seemed to have mastered the arts of fighting pretty well!

Trish returned to the top of Marco's head, deciding that the battle didn't interest her much. Marco, however, didn't even notice. He was far to disturbed by the many Slugmas around him.
Houndour fell to the ground, a look of shock on his face. The pokemon was almost to weak to attack. He let out a small ember, aimed toward the Torchic.
Finally, seeing the Houndour fall, Trish decided to use Metronome. Fly! Unfortunately, she was still attached to Marco, and brought him up with her. The little pokemon was surprisingly strong. Marco didn't know whether to be relieved to be away from the Slugmas, or freaking out because of the height. He chose the former, deciding to be positive for once. However, as soon as Trish began aiming for a pokemon to swoop down on, Marco instantly realized his mistake and chose the latter of the two responses. It was quite a sight.

(Ooc: I couldn't be more sorry mate about not replying to this thread. I kept my out on this for ages, hoping you would, but I gave up. Sorry again!)
The torchic glared and dared to embrace the attack. Then it realised the absurdity and the team attack that was about to be upon it. It didn't realise Marco didn't want to be apart of Trish's fly attack.
It gulped, realising it's fate... It stood dead still, it's feet planted solid to the ground in terror!

ooc|| 'tis okay...I didn't know, and in fact, still don't know whether I'll continue to RP him...kind of going on trial.
bic|| Wailing, the boy finally shut his eyes as to avoid seeing his own fate. Trish hardly seemed to notice, continuing to dive straight towards the fire bird pokemon.
Houndour noticed Torchic's hesitation, and laughed. Stupid pokemon would never survive this attack. And maybe, that pesky boy would get what he deserved as well.

<OOF!> The torchic received a critical hit! It fainted!
Trish gained 1 level! Houndour gained 1 level!
The wave of slugma seem to part around the party and the fainted torchic like water being divided by a rock. How were they going to get out of this?

"WAAAAAAAAHHHH!" Marco screamed in a sudden fit. He just couldn't think in these types of situations. Stupid, scary pokemon surrounded him on all sides, he had just escaped death, and he couldn't even scream right. The boy constantly had to cough in between due to slamming right into a Torchic, which he was, indeed allergic to. But, if he left the bird type there, it might get swallowed by a scary-lava-pokemon and die and never live again. All this was going through his head at an unmentionable speed, only half drowned out by his own scream.
Houndour huffed. The least his stupid trainer could do is catch the pokemon they had fought. But, by the looks of that, a being of such intelligence couldn't even do that. The dog pokemon grabbed one of the pokeballs out of Marco's bag and carried it over to the Torchic in his mouth, then dropped it on the fighting bird.
Meanwhile, Trish sucked on Marco's hair, seemingly unaware of her trainer's dire situation.

The fainted torchic remained in the ball!
Nickname: (you choose) Species: Torchic Gender: (you choose) Level: 11 Attacks: Scratch, Focus Energy, Ember, Double Kick Persona: Authorative
And just like that, the wave of slugma ceased. They slithered fast pace off into the horizon before Marco's eyes.
The place suddenly grew incredibly quiet, except the sound of the now hot bubbling lava from behind them.

It took a while for Marco to stop screaming, and when he finally did, it was replaced with muffled crying, his face pressed against the ground. He was relieved that the Slugma were gone, but the whole situation was still so overwhelming. At that moment, the boy wanted nothing more to be back at home in his nice warm bed, life before pokemon had crashed into him like hundred mile per hour winds.
Houndour's ears perked up as he heard the lava bubble from behind them. He barked a few times, trying to alert his trainer of the possible danger. But Marco was too busy wallowing in self-pity to notice.
Trish used metronome for no apparent reason and bubbles filled the air, quickly popping in the heat.

Bubbles were all it took for something to shudder nervously. That rock they were standing on before... did it just move? It was an odd shaped rock... It looked like it had a horn, but the rock was huge, poking out of the ground.

Neither trainer nor pokemon noticed the moving rock. Marco was too busy being relieved about the Slugma (or lack there of.) Houndour's ego had been inflated greatly by his latest conquest, and Trish was still preoccupied with Marco's hair...but not too much. She still managed to fire another Metronome. Leaves with razor sharp leaves flew out of nowhere, scattering everywhere and popping bubbles as they flew.

The ground began to shake as the rock broke free from the ground and rose into the air. The rock was attatched to a series of rocks that continued to come out of the ground... An onix was half submerged out of the ground and released a hiss towards Trish. It seemed fairly irritated with her, as evidence of leaves and bubbles continued to subside.

"Oh man," Marco said. It was like Sparkle minus the sparkle. And for some reason, Onix's were scarier this way. The boy considered releasing his own to help talk to this one. Perhaps they could work out some sort of deal that didn't involve the digestion of himself. Unfortunately, Sparkle had since fainted, and Marco was more or less on his own this time.
Metronome. Sparks.
...not quite alone.

Luckily... the massive onix didn't seem to be the aggresive type. It was bothered. Tt slipped out of the ground, the ground taking the abuse screaming as it headed down towards the fiery river...

Marco sighed, relieved to see the large rock pokemon leave. This gave him strength to get up and continue to walk...well, if stepping heel to toe could be counted as walking. He was still rather fearful of being attacked by another herd of rabbid Slugma...or worse.

A herd of ponyta seemed to be cantering in the distance... Some spearow were teasing a geodude off the pathway up ahead, but they all could be avoided easily.
Two numel seemed to be having a debate on pronunciation on the word 'tomato'.

Marco watched the herd of Ponyta. They were so beautiful. Even a boy like him could appreciate it (as long as they kept their distance.) Then, he noticed the Numel. Their conversation was quite erritating. When he couldn't stand it any longer, Marco yelled, "IT'S TOMATO DARNIT!" and instantly regretted doing so.

<AAWWWWE!!!> They both said in unison. <What wisdom that trainer has!> Said one to the other.
<It looks like none but him can pronounce it properly!>

Marco was a little taken aback by the two's interest in his mad tomato-pronouncing skills. He had never thought it that great himself, but perhaps to someone who lacked that...
"Eh, actually, it's really quite easy," Marco tried to explain, "You just go to-MA-to...simple as that."
A burst of red light released his favorite-the pidgeys.
<YOU TALKING ABOUT TOMEETAES?>
<TOMMYTOES! DUH!>

Th numel's looked confused at the two bird pokemon. <No you pronounce it tomato!> <No you idiot! You pronounce it tomato!>
<Can't you here the difference the way that boy just said it?> The other pestered the numel with.
<How do you pronounce tomato again, trainer?> They asked.

You know how they say that before you die, your whole life passes before your eyes? Well, at this moment, a similar thing happened to Marco. Only instead of seeing what happened, he saw what could happen, a truly nightmarish thing at that. What he imagined, was two sets of twin-like pokemon, forever fighting about the pronunciation of the word "tomato," haunting the rest of his already strange journey.
"It isn't really that important at all," Marco said, trying to change the subject, "Don't we have better things to be doing then arguing?"
<NO!> the two Pidgeys yelled in unison.

The two numel didn't take their eyes off his lips. They were waiting for his lips to form that sacred pronounciation of the word 'tomato'.

Marco shifted uneasily. The Numels watching him made him uncomfortable to say the least, a hunger in his eyes, just waiting for him to say something. He wasn't used to the attention. Their stares began to weaken him. "Fine," he finally gave in, "Tomato, tomato, tomato TOMATO!" He shrugged. "Now, can we just get on with things?
