The boy immediately stopped running when he noticed his strange surroundings. Marco rubbed his eyes, but nothing changed. Great. Just great. Now, he was hallucinating. As if nothing could get any worse, Trish took this as the perfect time to release herself from her pokeball. The Togetic looked around, but seemed to take the route as normal, not paying mind to its appearance at all. The pokemon did a few happy loops in the air before diving onto her trainers head, squealing happily before sucking on what was left of his hair. Either she enjoyed the taste, or just the reaction she got from her trainer. If it was the reaction, she didn't get much this time, seeing as Marco was still busy being baffled by this route.

Some very odd checkered mushrooms seemed to grow around the Route Trainer informaton sign. Seven giant checkered mushrooms in fact.

Trish looked at Marco's hair, then at the mushrooms. The pokemon seemed to be debating which one was tastier. Finally, her eyes settled on the mushrooms. The pokemon swooped down, and gobbled one of the checkered mushrooms up, then another. Feeling a little queesy, the pokemon stopped for a moment.
Meanwhile, Marco looked on with complete horror. Even for creatures not allergic to everything (as himself), mushrooms could be extremely poisonous. But now it was too late, and he hoped for the best.

Trish grew an inch!
An electrike flew across the path, fainted. It just got bitch-slapped by a Mr Mime. The Mr Mime continued to pretend to mow the checker pacthes of grass, with much success.

Trish, realizing that the mushrooms were quite tasty, quickly gobbled up the remaining five, her poor trainer looking on with an ever-growing uneasiness.
Marco watched the Electrike with curiosity. They could fly? Then again, everything here seemed a little off. Checkered grass...multicolored mushrooms. And was it just him, or was his pokemon a little bigger. Must have been just him. Then, he realized that the pokemon wasn't moving. He stared back at Trish. No, she had been there the whole time. Perhaps even pokemon fainted at random here. The boy shrugged and threw a pokeball at the Electrike, no questions asked. After all, he was a trainer, and that's what they did...right?

Trish grew another five inches!
The fainted electrike remained in the ball!

An illumise, volbeat and oddish started bouncing on some mushrooms ahead.

ooc|| Pin Cushions? lol.

Marco looked back at Trish. There was no denying it now. She was definitely taller...or he was very sick. The boy picked up the pokeball containing the captured pokemon before walking over to his larger Togetic. Trish flew up and landed on his head, but due to her rapidly changing size, knocked Marco to the ground. "Oof." The pokemon continued to suck on her trainer's hair, but Marco found this more painful now. Perhaps the mushrooms had made her stronger as well. He probably would have been trapped in that painful situation forever if Trish hadn't noticed the other pokemon jumping on the mushrooms. She quickly flew towards them, determined to eat their toy.

*bounce* <We-hee!> *bounce* <WA-HEY!> *chomp* <WA-Hu-! What? oof! OWWWCCCHH!!!>
The oddish landed hard on the ground. <What happened to my mushroom?> It wailed. <We-hee!> <Ha-hah!> <Ha-wey!>
The illumise and volbeat just laughed and continued jumping. <I think I hurt my foot!> It moaned. It couldn't attend to it's feet cos it had no arms.

Marco heard the Oddish's cry and looked over. He noticed the other pokemon bouncing, and Trish chewing, and put two and two together. "No, you can't just eat everything you see-" Marco started to explain. But his large Togetic had already feasted her eyes upon the other mushroom- another tasty snack.

Now the illumise and volbeat were both crying too.

Trish, who had now finished all the mushrooms in near sight sat down, and cried as well. Marco just stood there, the four pokemon crying around him, not quite knowing what to do. His ever handy inhaler was pressed up against his lips.

<SHUTUP!> Something screamed.A huge swirly stone flew through the air and landed on top of the oddish squashing it completely.
This just made the illumise and volbeat cry harder.
A spinda ran past Marco screaming about snot bubbles. A taillow flew through the air and mimiced the illumise and volbeat crying. Something started laughing crazy in the distance. And the sound of a lawnmower could be hear close by. This route was quite insane.

Marco gasped as the Oddish was squashed by the stone...a swirly stone? The boy rubbed his eyes and took his inhaler once more. This was like a nightmare...a twisted, demented nightmare. In fact, this would be the part, right about now when the Mr. Mime with a bloody knife jumped out to murder him. Marco tried to get the thought out of his head, but then, the rumbling of machinery caught him of guard. What the heck? A chainsaw. The poor boy was far too sucked into his imagination to realize that it was merely a lawnmower.
Meanwhile, Trish picked up the stone which had come flying out of nowhere and attempted to eat it. Swirls were so nice and...edible.

The stone seemed to made out of some odd sponge. The oddish lay faint underneath it.
The sound of the lawnmower seemed to go over the head of Marco. A group of spinda seemed to be Marco and the gang. Uh-oh! Looks like the Spinda-Nutters had just found someone to make insane... Ugh!

Seeing that it was sponge-like, Trish put the "stone" in her mouth. She seemed to have no concern for her fellow pokemon, fainted beneath. She was much more interested in eating the sponge. And her trainer wasn't much better, in fact, he didn't even notice the oddish. The boy flinched, hearing the lawnmower go...over his head? He glanced upward, trying to figure out what was going on. Spindas. Spindas. Spindas.

(Ooc: Ugh! Sleep needed! Cant write properly! Soz! Check out gallery of mediochrity. Just added the Spinda Nutters!)
The spindas grabbed the opportunity and surrounded Marco and Trish and started dancing around them with their teeter-dance. They broke into song.
<My head is an apple... <... Without head or core...> <My apple is seedless... <... More than ever before...>

ooc|| Mediocrity? I see Good, Ebil, and Average... oh, and if you get firefox, it checks spelling of everything automatically. Just got it a couple of weeks ago.

Seedless? Apples? Core? Now that he thought of it, Marco was feeling a little seedless himself. And an apple might taste pretty good right now. The boy sat down to watch the pokemon dance. He crossed his legs, and began to rock back and forth to the same beat as the Spindas, but in the opposite direction.
Trish, however, was not impressed. These Spindas were the only things that stood between her and the other delectable treats which grew here. The Togetic's face turned bright red before she released a Metronome attack. Sing. Marco flopped over, obviously affected by the attack, now drooling on the ground.

While they danced some very delicious spotted mushrooms grew close by. Four to be exact.
<My apple is seedless... <... More than ever before...>
A line of taillow flew in zigzags across the sky.
And now a low rumble could be heard approaching the trainer and her pokemon. Lines of oddish popped up along the smooth cobble stone path. They seemed to be chanting something over the spinda's song. The spinda were oblivious to their chant:
<Knock 'em down! Knock 'em down!>

Marco was still fast asleep and completely unaware of what the Spinda were now doing. He didn't even wake up when the Oddish popped out and began their chant.
Trish, however, was getting angrier by the second. There were mushrooms, her mushrooms, and these stupid annoying pokemon were getting in the way. The Togetic puffed up her cheeks, ready to clobber anyone who dared get in her way as she quested for mushrooms. That's when she spotted the spotted ones. The pokemon's face lit up and she flew directly towards them, consuming them all in a matter of seconds, instantly lusting for more.

Trish shrunk 4 inches!
Seven checkered mushrooms were obscured by the row of oddish on the other side of the path that Trish was on. Something was approaching the spinda and Marco fast! The low rumble was coming closer. Something was rolling fast towards them! <Knock 'em down! Knock 'em down!>
The spinda oblivious of the chanting oddish continued dancing around the sleeping trainer singing their random song.
Wait! Nine spinda. One trainer. Ten pins? Oddish bumpers perhaps? Road alley? It couldn't be!

The pokemon smiled as she shrunk, not seeming to care about her size so much as the tasty mushrooms. It only took her a moment to smell the other seven near her. The bratty Togetic kicked one of the Oddishes, making space for her to go through and reach the other mushrooms. Then she consumed them...all seven of them.
The poor trainer finally began to wake when the ground shook. Marco sat up slowly, unaware of the danger, but only for a moment. The boy instantly began to freak out, jumping to his feet immediately, but still not sure of what was taking place. He watched the Spindas' formation, a pyramid? Perhaps they were mathematical like he, though the boy couldn't figure out why they had included him in their design. Marco grabbed his inhaler, not sure of what else to do.

Trish grew seven inches!
The rolling object! It could now be seen! It was something pink but moving immeasurably fast.
<Knock 'em down! Knock 'em down!>
It just a few seconds he was gonna be knocked down!

"AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" Marco screamed, running as fast as he could in the other direction. Or rather, tripping as fast as humanly possible. In fact, one would have to be a complete and total klutz in order to even fathom tripping quicker than this boy. And poor kid, was still on the route. Marco continued to scream in random intervals.
Meanwhile, Trish seemed completely unaware of her trainer's predicament. She was too busy looking for even more mushrooms.

The spinda's were bowled over so fast that it temorarily rained spinda. One landed on Trish, others bounced off onto the tops of mushrooms... and remained bouncing... how?
And one particular spinda fell right in front of Marco. The spinning round... thing continued it's speed trying obviously to slow down. It seemed to be weeping as it shot passed Trish.
A fair bit off the track was a grove of checkered and zigzag mushrooms, ten checkered and thirteen zigzag. Trish could easily see them from where she was. Eating the checkered mushrooms seemed to be extending her neck abit.

Marco watched the Spindas bounce. He felt sick to his stomach. The pokemon just kept going up....and down....and up....and down. Before he knew it, one was right in front of him, spinning and spinning and spinning and spinning. Perhaps this was why they called the pokemon Spinda. He had watched a documentary on them once before. The guy on TV had said that each had a different coat pattern, but Marco couldn't see how anyone could tell that about a pokemon that moved so quickly from side to side. The boy then looked behind him, trying to see what hadd bowled into them. He hoped that there weren't ghosts on this route too.
Trish got a miffed look on her face as she was hit by some of the crying pokemon's tears. She puffed up, face all red, ready to release some sort of attack on the other pokemon. That was about the time when she caught a whiff of mushroom. Lots of mushrooms. The pokemon gazed at the delightful treats no more than a moment longer before flapping her wings to carry her to them. The pokemon consumed all of the checkered, and half of the zigzag before taking a break, resing on the grass. Then, she proceeded to eat the rest of them as well.
ooc|| The funny thing is, I don't even like mushrooms...they are the one thing I absolutely refuse to eat.
