Ash walked on, a headache from the colors and sounds forming. Luc had his eyes closed, looking only through aura to save himself. Ash had yet to perfect that, and usually ran into stuff, also forming his headache. Luckily he had some aspirin, which had yet to start working.
<Hey Ash, what kind of pokemon to we still need?> "We need a flying pokemon to help us, so hopefully a Staravia or something."

A Gulpin slid out of a bush nearby, and kept going to about the middle of the road, then stopped.

Luc bounded ahead of Ash to the Gulpin, showing off his incredible speed. Ash was left in the dust for a moment.
<Hey, can you help us, we are looking for a Staravia. Can you point us in the direction of a stronger one?>
Ash was still running to get to where Lucario was. The latter tilted his head at the Gulpin. [/sub]

The Gulpin turned bleary, and annoyed, eyes on Luc. "I'm tryin ta sleep, bud...d'you mind? There ain't none of those fance feather-heads near here right now, so bugger off!"

<I should teach you a lesson, bud, and besides, you cant just sleep in the middle of the road.>
Ash finally made it to Luc and the Gulpin, only slightly out of breath, but he recovered in moments. [/sub]

The Gulpin moved on, grumbling to itself about young whippersnappers with attitudes.

"What was that all about?" <He got pissed because we, apparently, woke him from a nap, and he wouldn't help us.> "Oh well, lets keep looking for a Staravia."
Lucario grinned and started off down the route with Ash just behind. Ash laughed out loud. Both of them were using aura to feel for any pokemon. [/sub]

OOC: fine...you'll get yer chance at a bird...
IC: You come acoss a clearing. In this clearing, there is a large number of Pokemon, most of them birds. Upon seeing you, most of the Pokemon take off, leaving some Oddish, Pidgey, and a few Spoink. Leading this little group, are two Pidgeottos, and a Swellow.
The Swellow glares at you two. "Why have you disturbed us?"

"You have our most sincere apologies. We were looking for a Staravia when we stumbled upon your group. Can you help us please?
Ash and Luc bowed to the Swellow, but Luc was ready if a fight broke out. Ash also had His hand near Pyro's pokeball, just in case Luc needed help. [/sub]

The Swellow glared at Ash. <There are no Staravias here.>
As if to contradict the larger bird, a Starly fell out of the sky and hit the ground with a thud! The pokemon was obviously very young. It looked at Ash with fear in its eyes.
<Please don't eat me!> the thing cried.

"Don't worry, we won't eat you. Luc, watch them for anything. Ok, what happened to you?"
Ash knelt down next to the Starly as Lucario stood between Ash and the other birds, ready for a surprise attack. He didn't trust bird pokemon much, due to an experience when was still a Riolu. He looked at the birds with a neutral expression, eyes mainly on the Pidgeottos. He was thinking they would add nicely to their team. Ash waited for the Starly's reply. One so young shouldn't be out here with stronger pokemon, unless its parents somewhere. [/sub]

"Did all the flying pokemon forget how to fly?"
With careful hands, he picked up the Starly and walked to the Staravia. Luc moved with Ash, but didn't look at his trainer. He was fallowing his aura.
"Staravia, what happened to you? As my word as an aura user, I promise not to hurt you." [/sub]

The Staravia widened his eyes. "Aura? Stay away from me, you freak. You're just like the rest of them."

Ash's eyes widened, then narrowed slightly, giving him a sadder appearence.
Just like the rest of whom? [/sub]

"Ahaha! Take this!" came the voice of a gruff looking Lucario, as it shot an aura blast into the air, downing a Starly. Behind it was a trainer, sparks of Aura coming out of his hands.

Ash ran under the Starly, catching it before it hit the ground. Luc was next to Ash, fur standing on end, ready for a fight. Once Ash brought the Starly to he other two bird pokemon, he yelled at the trainer, who was further away than a normal voice would allow.
"Hey, whats the big idea? Why are you shooting down the Starly? Transer, Pyro, watch them.
Ash let out the Radicate and Charmander, them standing near all the bird pokemon. Ash could feel his anger bubble up, but he forced it down, calming himself with his aura. When it became visible, it was a soft midnight blue. [/sub]

The man looked at them slyly. He was wearing an odd purple outfit.
"I'm not shooting them down. YOU ARE."
The last two words were laden with a distorted magic, his voice changing as he said it. Lucario felt his hand go up involuntarily, and shoot three blasts of aura. Three more flying pokemon fell.
"Why thank you for clearing up my sky for me."

Luc, no! How did you control Luc?!
Ash glaired at the aura user. It wasn't even possible for a aura user to do that, and Ash has been studying the powers of an aura user. He never even read about that. [/sub]

"Pah. You think this is aura? This is DARK aura."
The Lucario jumped up into the air, bringing a fist crashing down towards Ash. While he may have missed, the trainer made sure he wouldn't again.
"You're going to STAY STILL" he said, again, lacing his words with dark aura. Instantly, Ash felt his hands be clipped to his side...

I Refuse to do what you are told. Dark aura?
He watched helplessly as invisable gands gripped him and a paw hit his face. That was painful, for he was on the ground some distance away. Slowly, he rose to his feet, angered, but not insane.
I refuse to be used like that. You shouldn't use aura to hurt pokemon like that. I wont let you.

((Gdgd.))
"Oh yeah? You and what army?" There was a shaking, and another command, layered once more with dark aura. "You will LEAVE NOW. You will LET ME RESUME CLEARING MY SKY OF TRESPASSERS.. You will let me BUILD MY CITY OF DARKNESS" The Lucario resumed shooting at the sky, while the Psychic let his dark aura commands take effect...
(This is leading into a plot. Don't worry)

((I almost forgotten about this thread.))
Ash forced himself to stay where he was, but he still felt like he was being dragged off. Wis his remaining willpower, he went to one of the Staravia.
"Come with me and you wont be hurt, and you will help save you kin...
Ash pulled out an empty pokeball and held it out. He eyes the Psychic, and looked back at the Staravia with his yellow eyes. They urged the pokemon to join him. It was becoming harder and harder for him to resist what the psychic told him. Luc was already walking back, despite his best efforts. [/sub]
