ooc|| Spores, pollens and airborne seeds fill the air. Hope you don’t have allergies! Uh-oh...Marco's dead.

As soon as Marco reached the fifth route, he instantly regretted it. He boy practically had to breathe through his inhaler, and even that didn't stop his incessant sneezes and coughs. They just kept coming. Eventually, he gave up trying to wade through the grass and stopped to catch his breath. Yeah right. The poor boy errupted into another fit of coughing, eventually curling up tight into a little ball...as if that would help him stop. Marco was small in the first place, but when he curled up, he almost didn't look human- just a pile of clothing laying in the middle of the route. The only thing that disputed that vision was the way he jerked every time he coughed. Finally, the boy was able to stop coughing and lay still on the grass.
Sparkle, whom had watched this whole ordeal now lowered his long neck, picking up the boy with his mouth. Marco now dangled from the crystal onix's mouth, limp with exhaustion. The pokemon then continued, carrying his trainer down the route.

From up near his onix, ahead didn't look so good. It looked as though pokemon were having a BIG event up ahead.
Pineco were the pokemon. They were scattered out before them like a minefield.

Though Marco wasn't familiar with the pokemon Pineco, he didn't like them as soon as he saw them. Like giant possessed pinecones, the pokemon seemed to leer at him, and everything else in the area. He flailed from where he was hanging, suddenly very aware of his surroundings. Sparkle, seeing that his trainer had come to, dropped him on one of the many boulders of his back. Meanwhile, the pokemon continued foward, attempting to avoid the Pinecos, if at all possible.

Some roselia were up ahead doing petal dance. They finished their performance and pineco could be heard cheering for them to peform.
<We will perform one more dance before the pineco boomworks go off!> Another cheer came from the pineco.
Boomworks? That sounds... explosive!
- - - - -
A cheer could be heard from the streamcloud in the air, above the head of Sparkle. The streamcloud of spores seemed to have lowered. As the cloud came closer, the cloud consisted of hoppip, skiploom and sunkern...

Sparkle perked up at the word "boom." Boom...that didn't sound very good. In fact, it sounded bad...very, very bad. The pokemon began to move faster...right into the cloud of floating grass pokemon. The boy, who had just regained conciousness, was now thrown into another fit of coughing and soon fainted once more. Sparkle sighed. It was a good thing Marco wasn't a pokemon, he'd never last in battle. The Crystal Onix let out a screech, hoping to scare the nearby pokemon away, particularly, the ones threatening to go "boom."

Sparkle's shadow fell on some pineco as he raised his head to the sky...
<AAAHH-> KABOOOOOOMMM!!!
A pineco accidentally exploded setting off another pineco... Sparkle was affected by the two blasts, but it wasn't very effective. The pineco's started to part like the red sea.
That was until a pineco who jumped out from behind the dancing roselia spoke out. <We will not let a brute like you gatecrash our annual event!>

<You're what?> Sparkle asked, taken aback by the sudden opposition. <No, no, no, you don't understand. My trainer, he's, uh, not feeling too well. I think I need to get him to a human center quickly.> The boy was still motionless. And it was probably for the better- otherwise, he'd be coughing.
As Sparkle moved, one of Marco's pokeballs fell loose, releasing his Houndour.
<What seems to be the problem here?> Houndour asked in a gruff voice. The pokemon licked his lips, ready to fight anyone who crossed his way.

A rather big and buff pine-co hopped forward, hoping to intimidate Houndour. <Back off! This is our event! Go through the Valley of Death!> The pineco said, stern.

<You go to the Valley of Death,> the Houndour retorted quickly. Then, a thought seemed to cross his mind. The pokemon licked his lips. <Where can we find this Valley of Death?>
<Are you insane?> Sparkle asked, <Have you seen our trainer lately?> Sparkled motioned toward Marco with his nose, <He's like dead already without going to some valley to do so. We have to stay on the main route!>
<Bonehead.> The Houndour looked back at the Pineco. <So?>

<Turn north off the path.> The pineco instructed. <You'll go through all these tall grasses and maybe some woods, but you'll get there. You can't miss it! It's the biggest valley in the world!>
A pineco in it's nervous state exploded by accident. It set off another pineco beside it.

<Thanks,> Houndour said, a growl in his voice.
He started in the direction that the Pineco had directed, but flinched when they began to blow up. As soon as he realized what had happened, he sighed and shook his head, but continued going.
Sparkle, left with no other choice, followed his companion. Marco was still fainted upon the Onix's boulders.

The grasses grew taller as a thickwood loomed before them. It was a small wood but it wasn't long til the wood cut short to reveal a flat lifeless desert before them. It's surface was cracked. Not a single cloud in the sky. Nothing was in front of them except dirt and sand and sky. No pollens or sweet smells... just death...
(Ooc: Onto the Valley of Death now?)

ooc|| Sure.

The Houndour sniffed the air. He found death quite appealing...not for himself of course. But he wouldn't mind if it took over a few of the others. He glanced back at Marco and Sparkle. This was perfect.
<I really don't think we should be going this way,> the level-headed Onix remarked.
<Oh come on,> Houndour, <It'll be fun.>
