The onix's form could be seen vaguely in the immense cavern. It tried it's best to stay away from the light. The onix released a loud piercing screech that carried through the cavern's louder than it's roar!
* * * * *
Something hissed in the darkness. A wind picked up in the darkness and struck the victreebel and the mantine. It didn't effect the victreebel much. The move was silver wind! The pokemon struck again, using extrasensory on the sleeping mantine!
* * * * *
SMACK! The sableye screeched horribly as the electabuzz's fist hit it directly in it's gem-like eye. It used fury-swipes out of response to Thundigar's assault! It struck him twice before the sableye pulled back out of site from Thundigar's flashlight!

Mortochi tried to block his ears but the screech already shuddered through his entire body. Gulping, he ran towards the onix again, his mouth open wide again for another crunch attack...
Darkaan, worried that Mortochi wasn't going to last the battle, pushed Marco into the arena. "You're full in your special attack power remember? Use your flamethrower when Mortochi is in trouble!"
* * * * *
The victreebel struck it's tendril into the darkness, making a solid crack, the crack echoing through the many tunnels in the darkness. He heard nothing. Then a loud screech came from behind him. His tendril felt around for Tek's body and dragged the sleeping mantine through the darkness towards the noise. He bumped his head against a stalagtite in the darkness. Tek snoozed happily, unaware of the danger he was in.
* * * * *
Thundigar swung his armpits around, hoping to catch the sableye's eye with his armpits.

This onix was bigger than Darkaan had imagined! The onix pulled it's head up, out of the way of Mortochi's attack, hitting the top of the cavern but getting it's horn caught up in the roof! It used struggle temporarily to strike Mortochi. It felt the pain of mortochi's crunch attack again down at one of it's segments. It yanked back and came down with a slam attack, knocking out Mortochi...
The enraged onix encroached into the magmar's flashlight.
* * * * *
A faint light was up ahead. But suddenly, something slammed Vain-Glory hard! A wing attack! A hiss echoed throughout the darkness and something tried to posess Vain-Glory's mind. He could see himself looking actually rather quite frightened in the dark. His enemy was trying to spook him! Was this a ghost pokemon torturing them?
* * * * *
Thundigar managed to strike the sableye twice. It pulled back into the darkness that time because it felt the paralysis crawl over it's body again. Fully paralyzed and caught in half a screech attack, the sableye froze, giving the electabuzz plenty of time to escape...
(Ooc: Let Thundigar find the others. Don't worry. Sableye will pursue Thundigar!)

(Ooc: Encroached?)
"Marco! Fire punch!" Marco blew out a smokescreen as he wound back his fist and summoned a fully firey charged special attack. He flung his fist towards the onix, shrouded in the bright glaring smokescreen.
* * * * *
Tek woke, smelling ash and smoke up ahead. He rose up from the dark and damp floor. He advanced forward toward the smell, now dragging a paranoid victreebel, his senses greatly heightened due to his predator's invasion of his mind. Vain-Glory released a leaf blade attack where he saw himself looking at himself, hoping to strike his shrouded enemy.
* * * * *
Thundigar took the opportunity to run towards the sound he heard previously, no longer interested in the original shiny thing that he was looking for before. That ghost pokemon had him spooked. <DARKAAN!!! TEK! MARCO!!!>

(Ooc: Sorry! Don't mean to god-mode, but this is really hard!)
The force of the attack drove the onix's head back into the roof of the cave, once again getting it's horn stuck in the roof. It used struggle, trying to hit Marco while trying to free itself. It showed very little hint of tiring.
* * * * *
Light filled the tunnel as Thundigar's light lit up the place where Vain-Glory and Tek were. Part of the team was united!
The attacker was exposed to the light! A huge shiny venomoth tried to hide it's eyes from the glaring light from Thundigar's armpits. It hissed as it released sleep powder from it's wings, missing the group as it was blinded by the light.
* * * * *
The sableye broke from paralysis and travelled through the darkness, knowing exactly where to find that thunder pokemon. It wanted revenge as it stalked after him...

(Ooc: Oo! Shiny venomoth! Let them follow them back to Darkaan, please!)
Marco went flying by the onix's struggle attack. As soon as it relaxed a bit, the courageous magmar jumped back and k'powed the onix with another powerful fire punch.
* * * * *
Vain-Glory, Tek and Thundigar didn't wait for the shiny venomoth to attack again. They ran towards the loud ruckus ahead of them. Thundigar ran ahead, providing the light for them as they tried to find Darkaan. They stumbled towards where they thought they heard Darkaan battling.

(Ooc: Ok.)
The onix roared again, the pain, only making it drive it's head further into the ceiling. It's horn still stuck in the roof of the cave. It struggled to yank it's head out, sending Marco flying from the centre of the room again.
* * * * *
The sableye quickly darted through the caverns after Thundigar. It heard something cursing in the dark up ahead. It recognised the shiny venomoth. Without a word they teamed up. The silent assassins pursued their victims through the wet damp Dayea Hill.

It wasn't long before Marco, Tek and Vain-Glory stumbled across a cavern that had light dancing everywhere because of a battling magmar and giant onix. Darkaan stood fixated to the spot, concentrating on the battle.
"Keep fire punching oni- <DARKAAN!> Thundigar and Tek hollered running towards Darkaan and bear-hugging him. Vain-Glory spun around on the spot. He had enough light to see if his enemies were pursuing them. He couldn't see anything yet.
<We thought we lost you for good!> Both said. Darkaan taken-aback by the sudden re-union was still locked in with his battle cap. "MARCO RETREAT! Tek get out there and keep using bubblebeam against that giant!" Darkaan ordered, rather forecefully. Tek flew out and helped Marco leave the field by fanning him off with his wings. The bubblebeam was expelled from a distance at the writhing onix.

The pain gave the onix new strength and determination to free itself. The attack really hurt. Even though it used struggle, it didn't hit Tek because of Tek's distance from the onix. It managed to free itself, finally! It started to summon rocks for it's next move- but now it was quite exhausted from enduring all the special attacks...
* * * * *
A hint of wings and sparkly pair of gems could be seen approaching Darkaan and the crew down the tunnel that Vain-Glory was looking down. A few seconds and they would be upon them.

Tek propelled another bubble beam from his mouth towards the huge silhouette of the onix.
In the mean time, Vain-Glory still gazed down the tunnel, seeing the wings and gems coming closer and closer. With his tendril, he wrapped it around Marco's flaming tail and dragged him in front him. <The winged one issss yoursss!> Vain-Glory hissed.
Thundigar cowered in front of Darkaan. The sableye had petrified him! Darkaan turned around to see what Thundigar was hiding from just in time to see Marco blow fire on his fists, getting ready to fire-punch the oncoming enemies. Vain-Glory prepared to launch a pack of spores towards the gem-eyed pokemon. "More battles!" He gasped.

The sableye used faint attack on Marco to surprise the oncoming party as the shiny venomoth used psybeam on Vain-Glory from a distance!
* * * * *
The gigantic onix threw rocks at the mantine, not wanting to let it's opponent escape such an attack. It used the attck rock tomb, hoping to reduce Tek's speed. It was breathing heavily.

Vain-Glory hissed greatly at the venomoth, not liking the psychic attack at all. He responded with his infamous spore to the venomoth- NO! He held back his anger and let reason hold the reigns. He fired his spore attack at the sableye
Marco responded also with his max special attack fire punch at the venomoth... He ignored the sableye.
* * * * *
<GGARRGH!> Tek took the mighty blow fairly well. His speed fell. Tek released another bubble-beam at the onix. However, Darkaan was worried. If Tek got hit by another rock tomb attack, he would faint!
Marco was weak and tired, Mortochi had fainted, Thundigar was weak and paralyzed... He still had to get through Falenso City. Was this the end of his adventures? It was really Exzodus and Vain-Glory he had left to help him. Was he ever going to get out of Dayea Hill's many tunnels?

Th onix let out a defeated roar as it hurled, with it's remaining strength, a rock throw at Tek. The bubble-beam made the giant pokemon faint!
* * * * *
THWACK! Before the venomoth could attack, the super powerful firepunch knocked the pokemon out! Sableye didn't hesitate to strike at Vain-Glory with a shadow-sneak attack. But Sableye was put to sleep instantly by his spore attack.
The caverns suddenly grew dead quiet again. Except for the sableye hissing in it's sleep, not a single breath could be heard.

Tek fainted from the rock attack. Darkaan returned his fainted pokemon.
* * * * *
Vain-Glory received a critical hit from the sableye's attack. "Marco! Wipe out that sableye!"
But Marco refused. He was exhausted. He insisted in resting in his pokeball. "Vain-Glory?" Asked Darkaan, his victreebel yawning, also tired. Darkaan withdrew his fearow and let the bird use drill peck against the sleeping ghost pokemon.
"Great!" He thought. "Three fainted pokemon; two exhausted pokemon and one pokemon who've I've upset!" Darkaan couldn't wait to get out of here. He used his last two potions on his victreebel and magmar, hoping that was good enough to get them out of this tunnel...

Darkaan's fearow indeed finished off the pesky sableye.
All grew quiet. A zubat fluttered past Darkaan and his pokemon, not wanting to disturb the now familiar quiet.

When Darkaan saw the Zubat, he wanted to catch the zubat, but his pokemon looked as though they were all about to faint. Even though Marco was powered up, he looked exhausted.
He sighed, but withdrew three luxury balls from his bag, he threw one at the onix, even though he never got a good look at the beast, another at the sableye, and the final luxury ball at the shiny venomoth.

Darkaan felt around picked up the balls and placed them in his pocket. He left magmar out of his pokeball and returned the others. He needed light if he was to get out of here.
Hopefully he'll be out of here soon. He was sure he felt a draft up ahead.
(Ooc: Can this tunnel lead out to the Valley of Death? Before I leave Dayea Hill, I want to catch a normal nincada. Thanks!)

(Ooc: Uh... How many pokemon do you want? You a trainer or collector? Sure... I guess...)
There was indeed a draft, a sandy floor came into Marco's light. Further around the bend was a exit to the tunnel! Afternoon sun was streaming in. The sound of nincada could be heard within this part of the cave. The sound grew as they neared the exit.

Darkaan's pokemon sighed a sigh of relief. <WE'RE OUT!!!> <Feel that SUN!> <W00T!>
Darkaan was relieved, but intrigued to locate the sound of the nincada. He headed to a series of massive boulders that provided decent shadow.
"Nincada? Where are you? I like your song."

The nincada stopped for a second to receive the nice compliment. It then started it's *interesting* song again. It's two antennae pertruded from a gap in the cave wall, beside where some bright orange fungus grew. It was a damp wall.

Darkaan finally noticed the nincada's antennae from the wall as he followed it's song to it's hole. He crouched down to it's home, not intimidated by it's presence.
He looked into it's compound eyes. "Wow! You're quite a big fella. You'd be great on our team. Looks like you're a fast fighter."

The nincada stared at Darkaan intently. It didn't say anything. It didn't want to. It seemed rather shy to even wanting to be noticed by Darkaan.
<I'm known as Cicaca. What do you want trainer?>
There was something about the way the nincada spoke that made it sound not like a normal pokemon... This nincada was a shiny species!

Darkaan's eyes lit up as it's shine slightly lit up the hole it was in. He delicately fell to it's height and looked in where it was.
"Hey buddy. I've been looking for a nincada like you to travel with me. Are you interested in joining our gang?"
