Route 8
Lv 30 Max
You don’t have a pokemon that knows surf?
Chicken! Whimp!
Take our advice! Ride the rapids on Mountain Tear River! There is a section of the river called ‘The Express”. It’s fast and incredibly adventurous to ride on, rather then walking to Route 9! If you do get in trouble, naturally any masquerain will come to your aid. To signal for help, make your wrists touch with your hands pointing diagonally upwards and outwards.
Many reeds will block the nice view of the river. The tall grasses will make you itchy and annoyed.
The only different pokemon you’ll see on this route is the arbok. Pidgeotto, Fearow, spearow and pidgey like to fish with nearly every other pokemon on this route. Lotad, lombre and other water pokemon come to the shore only to rest from the joy they are having riding the rapids.

Mountain Tear River
Lv 30 Max
Ride the rapids on Mountain Tear River! Ride the waterfalls and whirlpools! There is a section of the river called ‘The Express” that is absolutely exhilarating! If you do get in trouble, naturally any masquerain will come to your aid. To signal for help, make your wrists touch with your hands pointing out diagonally.
Pokemon love riding the rapids just as much as any person does! Slowpoke love to surprise any adventurer by bumping the pokemon they’re surfing. Only in a certain part of the river do whiscash like to blow you onwards with their waterspouts! Pokemon just love to jump out of the waters to surprise and excite you.
They’re all playful and harmless… except the crawdaunt! Fall off, they’ll want to drag you to the murky depths of the river!
After you pass most of the river with its rapids, the river will calm down greatly just before Route 9 comes your way. Where the river is quiet, surskit and lotad love to frolick around on the surface of the water. This part of the river is like a water daycare, these pokemon nurture azumarill and other weak pokemon, until they can take on the adventurous rapids!
