Banjin walked into the Training Area, and looked around. Likeing the environment, he pulled out his Pokeballs.
"Wicked, Release. Beauty, Release. Syke, Release. Ghoul, Release. Frost, Release."
In flashes of red light, the pokemon formed from their pokeballs.
"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, it's training time. Syke, Ghoul, you two are together, since you two can't hurt each other. Focus on your Attack, Speed, and Accuracy."
The two nodded, and ran to another part of the Area.
"Wicked, Frost, you two are going to be going at each other. Be careful, you two, I don't want to have to break you two up if things get out of hand."
The Absol and the Spheal nodded to him, and walked/rolled off to start their match. Banjin turned to Beauty, who had crawled up onto his shoulder.
"You, however, are going to have a special assignment. You, are going to get into that tree," He said, pointing to a tree that was in between the to sets of fighting pokemon, "and you are going to start wrapping them in you String Shot. After all, they'll need to be able to notice things other than their own fights."
The small Caterpie quickly crawled up the tree, and aimed for her targets.
---Ghoul and Syke---
Syke opened up the fight with a Scratch attack, which went right through the Ghost-type. The Gastly shot off a Lick, but it went through the Rattata. Syke and Ghoul stared as they realized exactly why they had been paired off, as their attacks wouldn't hurt each other. With a nod, they decided to just take turns hitting each other.
Ghoul started off with a flurry of Licks, hitting the stronger Syke every 2 of 5. After he had been going for a while, he was interrupted by a bunch of String Shot hitting him in the side. He turned and glared at...nothing. Confused, he turned back to his opponent just to take a Scratch to the face, even though it didn't hurt him.
Syke began to Scratch at Ghoul after the string had distracted him. Surprisingly, Ghoul was actually dodging more attacks then he had earlier. He was moving constantly to make it harder for his Trainer's shoulder-pet to hit him with it's String Shot. He kept up the attack for almost 15 minutes before he began to get tired. He decided to finish this little charade with a Bite Attack.
Ghoul yelled in pain as his opponent unexpectedly bit him, actually hurting him. Angrily, he turned to the Rattata and used Hypnosis. As the Rattata was recovering it's momentum, it fell asleep.
<Ha! Gotcha, you little-> Ghoul was cut off as a large amount of String wrapped around his body, and pulled him into a tree.
---Wicked and Frost---
Wicked locked eyes with Frost, and leaned into a fighting position. Frost rolled his eyes at the Absol.
<Oh, come on, it's not like you can beat me. I'm just too tough!> Frost taunted.
Absol growled, and leapt at the Spheal. He'd show this little upstart exactly who was Alpha!
Frost screamed as he ran from the Enraged Shadow Absol.
Absol caught up rather quickly, and began to use Scratch on Frost. Frost's blubber caught most of the damage from Wicked's blade, but it still hurt. He turned to face Wicked, and blew Powder Snow into his face.
It was quite a brutal fight, what with Wicked trying to Scratch Frost into unconsiousness, and Frost hitting him with alternating Water Guns and Powder Snows.
After a few minutes, their attacks began to slow down, and they stopped to catch their breath. They were about to go back to fighting, when they were blasted with large amounts of Srting Shot. The string bound Wicked's feet together, and gagged Frost. As they struggled to get loose, more string grabbed them, and dragged them to the tree.
---End of Fights---
Banjin walked up to his boung and gagged Pokemon, letting Beauty crawl onto his shoulder again.
"Good Job, Beauty." The little Caterpie squirmed happily under her Trainer's praise. "Alright, boys, do you see why you're all bound right now?"
The Pokemon shook their heads.
"It's because you weren't focusing on your surroundings, only on your fights. While you do need to focus on your opponent, you also need to watch your surroundings to make sure nothing's coming at you. Understand?"
The Pokemon nodded, and he cut them loose.
"Good. And good job on your battles."
