"Signiture? I think Darkaan's already got his," Jai said, "Stupidity's pretty hard to forget." The last part was under her breath, almost inaudible. The girl was in a very sore mood at the moment.
The officer froze up when Darkaan said the names "Dyl" and "Officer Dai." But her face was different than either- too yount to be Dai, too stressed to be Dyl. Not to mention undeniably feminine. When she had gotten over the shock, just a few seconds later, she pushed open the door.
She then walked into the cabin, which was rather plain in appearance. A single wooden table sat in the center of the room. The only other noticable items in the room were the china rug which the table sat on and a wooden chest in the far left corner.
The young officer walked to the wooden table, then leaned on it with both hands, facing away from the group. Then, she screamed. It wasn't high-pitched like the type that was usually associated with girls her age. It was a flow of anguish, possibly anger. Then, she just leaned there, breathing heavily.
The sun had just begun to come up and some pidgeys from outside were chirping to welcome the new day, creating quite a contrast to the darkened interior of the cabin.

Amber jumped as the officer screamed. But then she calmed down. Spartin was looking around the room at all the china. But then it paused at the china. Amber didnt understand why. There was one cup that spartin kept coming back to. But amber then looked at the rest. "So what should we do?" She asked somewhat conffused.

Jai shrugged.
"Go back," the officer said, not looking up from the table, "Go back- get out of here as fast as you can."

Darkaan remembered the last officer who suddenly transformed into a tyranitar and then vanished. So that noone entered the room, he slammed the cabin door and looked at Jai, Amber and the other trainers.
"I've seen this before!!! RUN!!!" He yelled. He ran towards Mortochi.

Somehow, Jai had disappeared in all the mess- neither her, nor her pokemon could be seen.
"Where are you going?" a voice asked, as Darkaan ran. It wasn't cold- more like a nuteral question, casual as if someone had been asking about the weather.
A man was standing about five feet in front of Darkaan. He was well dressed- a suit and tie, typical attire for one returning from a business engagement. The young man's face was slender (at least for that of an Asian man), and flat, soft lines accenting his nose, which was possibly his most noticable feature since it was large. He was smiling, almost pleasantly, seeming worried about the commotion up ahead. A Pichu was asleep upon the man's head, snoring softly.

Darkaan crossed his legs when he heard the stranger ask the 'nuteral' question. He observed him briefly and found the man to be quite creepy in character within the setting that they were all in. Mortochi, caught up to Darkaan, not knowing where Jai went with Pez. He saw the man too.
<I don't trust him!> Mortochi mouthed to Darkaan. "Me neither." He said quietly, while smiling at the stranger. Darkaan, quickly circled around the stranger and used the young man as a stencil to hide himself from the cabin. Mortochi hid behind Darkaan's leg. Darkaan did a good job in hiding any sense of oddness from this man, til he asked him a question.
"I'm- off somewhere. Somewhere special. Ha! Kantex: full of special and unique places- what's your name, sir? Are you a tyranitar too?" Mortochi rolled his eyes. <Good job hiding your paranoia Darkaan!> He whispered.

The Pichu's ears perked at Darkaan and Mortochi's discussion, but the man didn't seem to notice, or if he did, he didn't care.
"A Tyranitar?" the man asked, laughing a little, but still managing to maintain his serious nature. "Sorry, but the last time I checked, humans don't evolve into pokemon. If you want a Tyranitar, I'm afraid you're going to have to train your little friend a bit harder." He motioned to Mortochi.
The Pichu awoke, and glanced around. When she saw Darkaan and Mortochi, the pokemon frowned, then smiled, then fell forward cutely, partially blocking the business man's vision.

<What's your name?> Mortochi asked the pikachu. Darkaan was rather perturbed by this man's serious nature. He wanted to know if he could trust him and find out more about him. "Who are you sir? What are you doing out here at this time of the day?"

The Pichu giggled. <Celeste,> she said, her voice quite mature in comparison to her looks. <And you are?>
"Me?" the man asked, "I might ask you the same thing." The man paused, suddenly looking solemn again, perhaps even a little worried. He glanced over Darkaan, as if deciding whether or not he should say any more. "I have reason to believe," he began, "that a certain fearsome group who calls themselves the Dark Hand has relocated to this region- Kantex."
"Bartholemew," the man introduced himself, holding out his hand to shake. The sleeve of his suit pulled back as he lifted his arm, revealing a thick silver bracelet with strange dark markings on it.

At the mention "Dark Hand," one person ran out from the trees. A boy. "Yo! What's going on here? I saw some pokemon running away from here and thought we would check it out. I''m Tyson!" Tyson looked around. "Wow, what happend here? There are quite some people?"

Ooc: Sorry for not being on in ages!
<My names Mortochi. But you can call me Mort!> Darkaan's larvitar said to the pichu. <I like you're laugh. It's cute!> He said...
While that conversation was taking place, Darkaan shivered when he heard the name 'Dark Hand'. While trust seemed to play an issue before Darkaan and Bartholemew, Darkaan decided to lay down a bridge.
"Well, my name's Darkaan. I came here because I saw something on Route 2 while I was out on the jetty of Shellau Town when I was looking this way. Some officer led us from the scene of some weird markings, to this weird little cottage I just came from... That's how I've ended up here, taking to you." Explained Darkaan, throwing nervous glances behind the man to see if any of the other trainers or 'things' followed him.
"Can you explain more about this 'Dark Hand' group, sir?" Darkaan asked, curious. Darkaan didn't notice the man's bracelet.
(Ooc: Lol! Dark Hand Darkaan!)

<Oky-dokey Morty!> the Pichu said, giggling so loudly that she almost fell off of her trainer.
"Darkaan? Well, nice to meet you," Bartholemew said after Darkaan had introduced himself. "As for the Dark Hand, well," the man lowered his voice to a whisper as he continued, "they're a group that originated in the Hoenn region. Legend has it, they're under a curse...incredibly powerful according to the myth. Like most groups, they started with a noble cause- to rid the surrounding area of the devilish gangs, Aqua and Magma. But you know how the old saying goes: Absolute power corrupts absolutely. And sadly, for this group, it was no different. I'd be willing to bet that their final state was worse than Aqua and Magma combined." At the end of his statement, the man let out a devilish laugh...though it may have just been the listeners' ears playing tricks on them due to their eerie surroundings.
"Eventually, they were driven out of the land of Hoenn," Bartholemew continued, "Though it took far longer than the police of that region would say. And though they would have you believe that the Dark Hand is gone, well, I'll tell you, there's a remnant," the man paused, "And I have every reason to believe that they're right here in Kantex- and more specifically, from the direction that you just came from!"
The Pichu yawned, then jumped down so she was at Mortochi's level. <That's all he can ever talk about. Dark hand this, Dark Hand that, blah, blah, blah. People are so weird.>
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be going," the man said, turning to go in the direction that Darkaan had come from, "Unless of course, you'd like to join me...if you're not too scared, that is." Bartholemew was grinning to himself.

Mortochi chuckled at the pichu's comment and tugged at Darkaan's hand. <Let's go! I'll fight fight with Celeste!> But Darkaan hesitated. So far, everyone he had come across (except Jai), hasn't been honest with him. The stranger still didn't win his trust. A pichu taking on... a dangerous pokemorph team?
"What other pokemon do you have with you- And how strong are they?" Darkaan asked, wanting reassurance that the man was safe and willing to fight with him. Only then did he feel safe to go back to the house he came from. Vain-Glory was in his belt. He would be more useful in this circumstance with his Spore attack if he battled with the man.
Mortochi rolled his eyes. <Why are trainers so stubborn?> He asked Celeste in a whisper that Darkaan couldn't hear.

"Oh, you need not worry about me," Bartholemew said, taking a pokeball out of his jacket pocket and spinning it on the top of his finger, "Celeste can take 'em, right girl?"
The Pichu nodded vigorously, and released an electrical attack. For a Pichu, the attack carried far more power than one would expect, but there was no way it would hold up well against many of the pokemon Darkaan had encountered lately.
But Bartholemew seemed cofident. He let the pokeball fall from his finger and onto Celeste, and the little mouse pokemon disappeared in a flash of red. Then, the man kicked the pokeball up and caught it, replacing it in his pocket. "And, if that doesn't work, there's always plan B." Bartholemew smiled in that same strange way of his. Or perhaps it was just a friendly face, distorted by the shadows of the trees.
Then, the man walked away towards the cabin, allowing Darkaan to choose whether or not to follow.

Tyson stared at the Pichu. The strange thing was, he couldn't understand Pichu. He looked to the man walking into the cabin. ((When I but < that means he's thinking.)) < Should I follow him? Yes.> Tyson ran down a slope and opened the door to the cabin. He turned back to Darkaan. <Who is he anyway?> He bounded in the door.
