Pyro growled when she pulled out the hatchet. Darkaan hushed him. He was about to make a comment to her again, when she raised it and hacked her way through the thickets and vines.
He was getting more and more worried as they furthered away from the main Route 7 track. He pulled out his town map and looked at it. The only place there was heavy vegetation was the vegetation near a valley... He shuddered.
"Is this academy out in the Valley of Death?" He said. He planned not to go their, but was going to face that place one day.

"No," the officer said, suddenly sounding very sinister, "Or at least I have never heard of it referred to as such." Suddenly, they were out of the woods, in a sort of glade. The overgrown grass in the area reached past their knees. On the far side of the glade was what looked like an abandoned pile of rocks. The officer continued her stealthy pace towards the rocks.
ooc|| And now, I shall rush you in to a setting from the story that I must rewrite in hopes of rekindling inspiration.

(Ooc: Alright! Cool!)
The glade looked queer to Darkaan. To see some oddly placed rocks rise out of knee-high grass made him feel peculiar. He walked through the grass following close behind Officer Dai.
He looked nervously at the grasses. He'll never forget Route 4 where that ekans leapt from the giant grasses as they neared Route 5. He feared they were hiding in the grass ready to pounce at him.
He felt safer when he released his electabuzz (Thundigar), fearow (Nimbus), and victreebel (Vain-Glory). He didn't want to withdraw his viscious victreebel. He only withdrew him in case this officer did anything dramatic. He suddenly felt he was more in control of the situation now that his pokemon surrounded him as they all walked or flew.

The officer glanced back at Darkaan, giving him a full view of her name badge- Officer Dai, and gave him a funny look. But she didn't say a word. Instead, she walked towards the seeming accidental pile of rocks.
However, as they got closer to it, it began to ressemble an abandoned mine. A small small picket sign had been put in the rocks which read "DANGER: Do not enter" in big red letters. The officer paid no attention to the sign, even stepping over it to reach the small oppening. She knocked on a rock twice. The funny thing was, it made a hollow sound, not at all as a rock should. Then, she disappeared into the dark void.

<Dude! She just... She's a cop! Is she, playing with you?> Thundigar asked Darkaan. "I don't know!" <Don't go in!> Nimbus muttered. <Ignore Nimbus! Go in! It's going to be an adventure!> Pyro said. Nimbus took offense to Pyro's comment and ruffled his feather. <By chum Pyro! You offensive little rock freak!> He squawked.
"Ok. Ok! I'm going in. Shush guys... Lets put our trust her authority." He said walking into the blackness of the 'abandoned' stones. "And besides. She has Balthazar. We should make sure he's going to be okay..."

As soon as Darkaan stepped into the old mine-like thing, all around became pitch black. Then, a stream of light. The officer had openned some sort of secret door which was in front of a tunnel which was lighted with a single strand of lights on the ceiling. The officer entered the tunnel without hesitation and began the journey through the seemingly endless tunnel.
About ten feet down, there were cave paintings, old pokemon, most of them unfamiliar, not even charted by the most recent pokedex. Or perhaps they weren't even pokemon at all.

Darkaan released Marco, his magmar. "Use FLASH!" He said to his fire pokemon. Marco released a blinding flash and lit up the corridors with his flame and the place became that much brighter. They all staggered down the corridor following close behind Officer Dai. Magmar wasn't that good at using it's move 'flash' yet as everyone groped there way forward.

"Thanks," Officer Dai said. Even if Magmar hadn't mastered the move yet, it still helped a little.
The tunnel seemed to be endless. However, the further they got, the more moddern it seemed. Eventually, they were walking down hardwood floors with brick walls. The only thing that was even remotely similar to the rest of the tunnel was the dirt ceiling and the ever-present string of lights.
Eventually, they reached a large wooden door. It had all sorts of intricate carvings on it. But there was no doorknob.

<Dead end!> Said Thundigar. <Turn around. Lets go back!> "Wait!" Whispered Darkaan, grabbing his electabuzz. "She wouldn't have led us here if it was a dead end."
He watched the woman intently. What was she going to do? Nimbus seemed to have noticed something peculiar about the wooden door. His 'keen eye' ability seemed to solve even mysteries of this extreme.

ooc|| Wow. I spelled "modern" incorrectly. o_0. Vacation is taking its toll on me.

The officer seemed to think a little while, examining the knob-lacking door carefully. Then, she pulled something out of her pocket- some sort of mini-bomb-like-thing-of-complete-and-utter-DOOM. The explosion only shook the cave for an alarming three and a half seconds, before the door was revealed, unharmed. But this time, when Officer Dai press her hand to it, the door opened. Wait, she hadn't tried pushing it open before. No matter now, they were through.
The room in front of them was rather small. In addition to being tiny, it was bare. A small desk in the center, and a nightstand in the corner were its only inhabitants. The only thing out of the ordinary was a circular door on one side, painted a blinding hot pink. Someone had no taste.

Darkaan yelped, Nimbus squawked, Marco quacked, Vain-Glory hissed and Pyro screeched. Thundigar released a bunch of sparks from his backside. He farted!
Then all was silent. Then burst of giggles of laughter burst forth from Darkaan's pokemon.
Darkaan stood paralyzed in fear. He saw the door slide open. "Everyone! RETURN!" He returned all his pokemon to his pokeball except Pyro and Marco. "Hurry through!" he said worried, hustling Marco into the door before him. He knew only too well the consequences of Thundigar's gas. He nearly passed out before the first time Thundigar farted. He did not want to give the officer any wrong impression.
They entered the room and observed it's features as Darkaan closed the door behind him. The pink door stood out. After done observing, they looked at the officer. Darkaan was afraid to speak, so he waited for her to say something.

ooc|| Fart... I actually cracked up at that. Geesh. So mature we are.
bic|| The Officer raised her eyebrows at Darkaan's response...what had happened to get him and the pokemon into such a frenzy? Then, she smelled it, and was thankful that Darkaan had been so quick to shut the door. Being so far underground made the room stuffy without the added smell of gas.
Dai walked to the desk and opened one of the drawers. flashing a silver pokeball in addition to a pen and note pad. She grabbed the writing utensils before quickly shutting the drawer. The officer glanced around, a worried look on her face. Either Darkaan wasn't supposed to see the pokeball, or something was out of place.
"Well, I just have a few questions to ask you," the officer asked, flipping to a clean sheet of paper. Her expression had returned to normal. "Where were three days ago at eleven thirty PM?" Though Darkaan hadn't said a thing yet, the officer's pen was already scribbling madly, making note of some unspoken clue.

(Ooc: Glad I journal all this in Darkaan's Character Profile! And that's part of Thundiar's 'unpredictable' nature. You should read about their adventures in the Berry woods. Kass thought it was funny too!)
"Uh..." Came his intelligent response. "I was at the Lapras Shrine. I forgot what I got there, because I remember meeting the coolest trainer, Jai. Met her before. She's amazing. I know she's disabled but I love that she has the determination and passion to travel Kantex and become a fantastic pokemon trainer." He said.
"Yeah. We just sat down and talked about where we could find Herald. You know? That horrible Pokemon Breeder that was in the Kantex Central Bulletin for a few days because he escaped from prison?"
He stopped for a second. This cop would have had to have recognised him. His photo was in the paper with Professor Kass and Zeki with the transformed Breeder Herald with Jai and a bunch of other trainers. The article was four pages! This thought bothered him immeasurably. He sat quietly as questions of the peculiarities of this officer shot through his mind.

"Mmm-hmm," the officer kept mumbling, though sometimes at the most interesting times, as if she weren't really listening to Darkaan at all. Her pen suggested otherwise. "The Lapras Shrine, eh?" She looked up at him, checking him over once more. The way she said it, gave away that she really didn't believe what the teen was telling her. "And did you notice anything unusual at the shrine that night?" She paused a moment, but not long enough for Darkaan to answer before asking another question. "And how well did you know this, Herald did you say, character?" The officer kicked at the desk leg, creating an annoying tapping noise.

"Night? OH!" He said embarassed. "No! That was 11am in the morning. At 11pm at night I was... sleeping in Lecana's Pokeclub. My pokemon can testify to that."
He stopped. He pulled a face as the officer continued taping. It was annoying him. From here he could see that her badge read 'Officer Dai'. Dai... Jai? He looked at her features. No. That must be a coincidence, but now that he was able to stare her in the face, she looked familiar. "And with regards to the Pokemon Breeder Herald, you've seen him. You were with the other officers after the event. I was the one who called the police on my pokegear. And you were near the officer handing out the rewards for us who found him and foiled him." He paused.
"That sad-looking umbreon next to Kass and Zeki that day, that was Herald. Zeki transformed him as punishment for abusing her, Kass and the Kantex Regional Laboratory and all it's inhabitants.

ooc|| Mmhmm...though for me, that doesn't say much. I'm simply obsessed with any plot whatsoever. I did a pretty neat one at Sacados which involved some complex clues...but the story line wasn't all that great, and the ending was rushed.
bic|| "Mmhmm," the officer said, nodding, "Well, pokemon testimonies don't hold up very well, I must warn you ahead of time, but I'm sure it's better than nothing. Did you talk to anyone at the Pokeclub? Perhaps, someone who would remember you? Do you remember seeing anyone else there at all?" She was obviously fishing for something, or perhaps this is what she did for fun. Officer Dai just kept throwing questions out there, as if the questions themself were not that important. There was something else. Finally, she added, "And what might you know about," she paused. The officer stopped tapping the desk with her foot and stared Darkaan straight in the eyes, "These so called Satanic and Angelic pokemon."

"No. There weren't many trainers there that night. I remember seeing two playing pool." Darkaan was getting annoyed. No only did these questions seem pointless, but she continued that annoying tapping.
He listened to her second question about what he knew about satanic and angelic pokemon. "All I know is that we're meant to stay away from the satanic ones. The notices have been around every town I've been too."
"I was ambushed and nearly lost my life on Route 3 (Fiery Path) by a satanic salamence, something I'll never forget. It was keen in torturing me. It gave me an egg, then flew off. The second time I attempted to conquer Route 3, I met the satanic salamence's sister, Jiishan. She was an angelic salamence. I gave her my egg and she blessed it. Maybe it was an evil pokemon, but now made normal through her blessing? She said if I was ever in trouble, I should whistle this tune. "
Darkaan than puckered his lips and whistled Jiishan's tune.
"I think that just in case I was harassed by satanic brother."

"Mmhmm," the officer said, "Well, I think I'll need you to talk to my supervisor. I'm not sure that we'll be able to release you under these conditions." The officer got up from her seat then oppened the drawer. She replaced the pencil and notepad, then took out the pokeball that had shared the space with them, and stuck it in her pocket. Then, she walked towards the blindingly pink door, and knocked on it in a special rhythm. A few moments later, she knocked again, though it was hard to tell whether this was out of annoyance, or part of the code. Finally, she just pushed the door open, and crawled through. This took some time; the door was small as if it were meant for some little child to use.
The door led to a much larger room, this one with a padded green floor. The walls were lined with large mirrors which reached from ceiling to floor, like a martial arts training room. But no one else was there, and there were no visible exits.
"Well come on," the officer said.

(Ooc: I'm finally back! SWEET! Looked forward to RPing with you again!)
"What game are you playing at?" Darkaan spat, shooting up from his chair, glaring into the back of her head. He liked the look of the back of her head. "What on earth is going on here?"
Pyro looked up at him in shock. His trainer... IMPATIENT?
"Just get this over and done with! We've travelled for ages, and I actually want to get through Dayea Hill and Falenso City before nightfall..." He shuddered. The idea of being haunted in the wet caves and giant abandoned city gave him the chills.

"Game?" the officer asked in a falseto innocent voice, "This; we are not playing a game...though I suppose I wouldn't expect any less from one who plays with Satanic Pokemon, eh?" The officer grinned, not looking friendly in the least. A change had come over her. A dark hunger plagued her face, somewhat resembling a malnourished Houndoom who had spotted his prey and was ready to kill. A moment later, this look was gone, replaced by a much calmer, almost comforting expression. "I think you better get out of here little boy," the officer said, "before it's too late." She genuinely looked concerned, and rushed towards another door at the other side of the mirrored room.
This door was the normal size, and a regular color. The only thing that might set it apart from a door you would see in someone's house were three black symbols painted across it. The first was a flame. The second one, larger than either of the other two, was the silhouette of a hand. A swirl mark was etched out of the palm. The third symbol was a drip of water. The fire and water were hardly noticable next to the eerie hand.
"You must leave now," the officer said, her face a cross between pleading and indifference.

"What is this madness?" Darkaan said. He planned to intimidate this offer until he got answers. Darkaan withdrew Vain-Glory from his ball, who appeared to his left, leering as usual, it's en-mass hugely intimidating. Darkaan withdrew Marco, appearing to his right, glaring at Officer Dai. Marco knew the drill. Darkaan withdre Thundigar, appearing to h- "STOP SPINNING ON YOUR HEAD!" Darkaan suddenly shouted at his electabuzz. Thundigar fell to the floor, got up, got the hint and looked threateningly at her. He then blew a fat raspberry at her.
Darkaan gave up with him and withdrew Thundigar and released Nimbus, who appeared behind Darkaan, glaring at the officer. "If it wasn't for blasted Thundigar, this intimidation coul've worked!" He thought, not realising how threatening his pokemon actually looked.

Officer Dai watched, a blank stare penetrating through Darkaan and his pokemon. She didn't seem to see them, despite the act they had put on, perhaps more interested in her own reflection in one of the many mirrors of the room. But even that she seemed to see past.
The release of Nimbus seemed to awaken something within her though. Blank expression turned to sheer anger. Dai's whole face turned blood red as the rest of her body morphed, tearing the police costume to shreds. The last part to mutate was her face, elongating, then turning hard. The beast she had become, a tyrannitar, glared at Darkaan and Nimbus. She no longer seemed to recognize them, as her Tyrannitar persona took over.
Dark, Shadow, Satanic; it was impossible to say what, but all of those would have been suitible descriptions for the coal black tyrannitar with the blood red markings and eyes which spelled out death.

Darkaan stood routed to the ground in absolute fear. He loved her presence but feared her at the same time!
He looked down at Pyro, briefly smiling, knowing one day he will show that same mere might and brilliance (although not that demonly colourful). His mind back on the situation, he called his vicious ninja famous victreebel forward...
"Victreebel! LEAF BLADE that WOM... OFFICE- TYRANITAR!!!" He finally yelled!
Victreebel moved at lightning speed with it's sharp leaf-bladed wings.

The gastly Tyranitar's arm shot downward in a split second and momentarily turned silver as the sharp leaf hit it. Her arm returned to the normal coal shade as soon as the leaf left its surface. Not even a scratch was left there, as if Victreebel had missed his target entirely.
Red eyes burned brighter than before, the visage of Tyranitar bouncing off the many mirrors in the room, creating the eerie feeling of being watched from all sides. For a moment, the beastly pokemon was still.
